Done here, too.
I can absolutely relate to Galak's complains about spamming, but I personally even wouldn't mind to see margaretthorn banned for life. No matter how I phrase a search, pages upon pages of his stuff start appearing. And what's with those 2nd Ed single minis? About one third of them get a starting bid, the rest is ignored by the e-bay community and still gets relisted. When will he 'get it' and drop his starting price?

Well it's taken me a while to get back onto TBB but I am gladly reporting this guy (Again
)
Interestingly, you can setup a filtered search and REMOVE margaretthorn from all results
goto advanced search, type in blood bowl or whatever, then choose "exclude" and type the persons username.
Save the search as a favourite so you needn't bother doing this multiple times

OK - Decided to register and respond!!
Just to set record straight on this:
I've been on this site a number of times but there are a number of players that all they seem to talk about is ebay buying & selling, bitching ref other players & sellers, as I want to be on a site that spends more time discussing Blood Bowl and other gaming philosophy I utilise other sires. I understand you have had your nose put out of joint for some reason ref spamming key worlds on ebay, If you recall at the time I replied to asked for your suggestions as to what would be best as I only search by title so don't encounter issues however the only reply I got was another crappy mail saying you were going to launch a slander campaign to stop people buying from me so I thought if you are not going to be civilised about it then what should I do. If you had been pleasant I would have changed things imediately as I do act on most reasonable requests Anyway I actually have changed most listings that I can now. You are the only one to call me on this and Ebay have never contacted me ref this so what am I supposed to do??
Hope this clears the air and perhaps you can get back to discussing Blood Bowl which this site is supposed to be about.
Regards,
Jason

The way I see it there's 2 solutions to this. Either visit other areas of the board that are more Blood Bowl related than the "For Sale" section, that's where we talk about eBay and sellersMargaretthorn wrote:Just to set record straight on this:

If you have anything to ad to a Blood Bowl discussion, though, we'd all love to have you stick around.

Re: Did you read my last mail?
Jason I know you've have problems with Indigo. But I won a Snotling auction off of you several months ago and at that time I sent you a very calm email saying I'd received the figure and that I loved your Blood Bowl auctions, but I requested if you could stop adding Blood Bowl and other games to the bottom of your auctions which would be a big improvement to me based on how I search.Margaretthorn wrote:Nobody has actually come to me and requested I change this other than two snotty mails I got from the guy who started all this?

After responding promptly to all my emails before that regarding my auction win ... this last email went completely without response. Since Indigo had already had problems with you, I assumed that your sudden lack of response was an indication that you were unwilling to change.
So soon after that ... I started this thread. If you thought my email was snotty ... sorry ... normally my business related emails are pretty professional and non-emotional. However with no response from you I assumed you weren't interested in change.
That said ... if you are now discontinuing to put Blood Bowl on the bottom of your non-Blood Bowl auctions. Thank you.
And Jason ... it was never personal. I've reported over 10 other sellers for keyword spamming Blood Bowl before you. I like my searches clean and since its a violation of Ebay policy to keyword spam ... I just like keeping Ebay easy for me and others to use.
Thanks for finally cleaning up your auctions to met Ebay policy ... greatly appreciated.

No Personal offence taken. Honest.
I never recieved your first mail ref Spamming or would have tried to resolve. all I got were 2 snotty mails ref this from one ebayer. I really try to help to the extent of opening a Shop on ebay to make it easier to shop the rising number of categories I was getting involved with.
Lets be honest Ebay is edictive - it started out as very much a side line selling the odd bit or two to subsidise the amount of stuff I was buying for my own personal pleasure and keep the wife happy next thing I know I own several thousand figures and am listing over 300 items a week. This along with holding down a real job with high stakes!!
Good job I don't sleep much. (Average about 4 hrs/ night and not for the right reasons - been married too long)
As you are aware (from feedback) I have very few dissatisfied customers and really do try to help any enquiry that comes my way. I trade on and off ebay although haven't gone the whole hog of setting up a web site yet! Many regulars e-mail me directly for buying or swapping items which I can afford to sell at a lot less than Ebay as there are no fees involved.
Lastly on prices - I only charge what these things usually go for. keeping a track record on ebay over the last year if anything prices are coming down in the early stages I was selling figures at silly prices (bid up to £10 a figure) which is why I put new figures on BIN prices in my shop (seemed fairer). If some players choose not to buy, I don't hold it against them thats the game.
Well draw a line as they say and move on. I think I may just join in a few more mails on this site some are quite interesting.
