Minis for tools/books for airsmithing

Post by Moosifer »

I'm looking at getting into airsmithing (for paintball markers), as a hobby. I could use for an excuse for a decent drill press, and I'd like to get into gunsmithing. This has *nothing* to do with a Barret light that was just given to me. :)

I'm going to have to rebuild a lot of it, and being able to machine parts can cut down on a lot of my costs. I've got to get a proper firearms safe fitted, some proper ventilation in the workshop, but setting up for markers is pretty easy. Plus I've got a couple of mates in one of the top NZ teams, and I'd love to see them go overseas and pwn it up. We'll out sail you, then we'll out gun you :D

So, if you know of any stuff that might help (bulk spares, tools, books, etc) that you might be able to source in the US, I'm happy to pay in US$, trade BB minis my list is in the CD thread.

In addition, I've got these full or partialy full squads (max rosters)
- 2 painted squads of orcs (2nd, 3rd and custom, 40 odd minis, Tr, Og)
- Full painted human squad(2/3Rd, 4Bli, 4Ca, 2Th, 6 Li, Og)
- Full painted CD squad (3rd, 6CD, 8 Ho, 2BC, Tr, Mi)
All remaining mins are unpainted, or need stripping (which I'm happy to do first)
- WIP full painted Skaven squad (2Bl, 4Ca, 2Th, 8Li, RO)
- partial squad of CD's (6CD(2nd)/8Ho(3rd)/1Tr(2nd))
- 3 sets of valkeries
- Full HE squad (3rd, 2Th, 2Bl, 4Ca, 8Li)
- Partial DE squad (3rd box + Turen)
- Partial Norse (1 Bl, 3Ca, 2Th, 7Li)
- Full Chaos (4CW, 12 Beast, Tr, Og, Mi)

Lots of other assorted bits and pieces. All my 2nd are identified, apart from those in the painted teams. PM me if you have a specific Orc you want , if I don't have it, I won't reply. If I do, I'll let you know which team it's in. I'll also be putting up pics.

Again, looking more for trade for specialist stuff, I don't know, Galak could secretly be DocH :)

moosi@paradise.net.nznz remove one nz. If you can't figure out which one, international figure trading is perhaps a mite complex for you.

I can comprehend a small amount of french, but apart from that I'm pretty much monolingul (I can sign, but thats not exactly additional communication on the net =P), so english for prefrence.

In lieu of my new citizenship, any one who can write it in Te Reo will ge the first reply :)

Next time you will ask to rub our nose together and showing the tongues, or what ?

On my visit of NZ i went to the local GW shop in Christchurch. Great fun, because a maori player played against a "normal" kiwi. The maori did some war dance moves and other moari style "show off things".... :o

Never tried paintball. Once i want to do this, but the range was closed. I got a book in SA years ago ... " Paintball The combat Adventure Sport " by Richard Cooke... Ward Lock limited 1991 isbn 1-85409-112-3. Just in case if you want to look at amazon.

/me looks out at the blazing sunshine.

Ah, you see, theres your peoblem. the South Isalnd is all well and good, but a tad on the chilly side. Now Wellington, that rocks (I'm not biased, not in the slightest).

But the money is better in the UK. On the other hand, the UK's "fresh" food (I was born there and there until I was 17) compared to NZ stuff is such a change.

Plus it's cheaper to buy raw ingrediants, and make your own fod, great for students :)

I'd advise anyone that can stomach the long journey to come and visit. time it so you hit Welly for the next LoTR release :)
