so basically he thinks he can charge more and make a tidy profit becuase he dresses his auction listings up with loads of info (most of which is irrelavent) sadly looking at his feedback it seems to work.

Actually, this guy has my fullest understanding. If ever someone wants to pay 950£ for any of the stuff I have, I must sell and get a lot of money.

if no one wants to buy, I can keep it.

Simple as that :D

But putting an auction up like this costs some money everytime you want to place it on ebay.

That is just throwing away money because only fools would give that kind of money for this team. More chance putting your money on the lottery then posting just an auction.

My reply
it is large, you are correct. there's various reasons for it. I'm still tweaking the listing, so didn't want it to sell whilst mid way through, plus I'm actually happy not to sell these guys. I'm getting into Blood bowl and will be using them next week. I'm also going to get a league up with friends and will be playing a load of games at a convention in January and need to get 6 good painted teams up together, so am happy for them to not actually sell. That way if they did, then why not, but if they don't then they are mine to play with. It might sound a bit odd, but when I got them, I thought, you know, I don't know if I want to sell them. Weird I know, but some stuff that I sell, well it's a shame to let it go? The other reason is that I can see what interest it gets, and also research the prices over a prolonged period. As you know prices go up and down. Today for instance some Dwarfs went very high, and I missed them, annoying as I needed one of them, but other listings I didn't bother with, really went for a bargain, and good on the person who got them! Anyway, i'll have to look at the prices, and work it out. Personally I'd pay about £40 for a well painted miniature. I assume that's what a professional painter would charge, £40 to £60. So how much for a team? Anyway, answer your question? I do understand your point though, but I don't think I'm a "real" business seller, in a sense.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
