Looking for a smaller troll

Post by JaM »

Hi all,

I am assembling (another) Chaos Pact team. I am looking for a troll that is smaller than the GW starplayer, I need one that can reasonably stand on a smaller base (what is it, 25 mm ?).

I have 2 Harlequin Ogres who eitther will be Ogre and Minotaur (head swap), but I will probably get an older GW mino soon. So that's the scale I am looking for.

Anyone have a small troll for sale ? I dont care if it's GW, anything goes really as long as it's recognisable as a troll...

Cheers !

JaM

We had a troll submitted to Impact! through our amateur sculptor program that was done in the style of the Trolls from the Lord of the Rings movies.

He does fit perfectly on a 25mm base.

Look for a 2nd ed troll, joemanji has them in his ebay store often (I think).
They fit on a small base well just with their toes pokeing off.

I went with a 2e GW troll and mino on my pact team for the same reasons of size. I had them on 25mm bases and they fit fine, but just changed them to 30mm, still a BB square size (give or take 1mm) and just that little bit more stable and imposing. (Keeps the toes within the base too). I'm probably going to change the troll for a neomics one at some point in the future, looks like it'll scale ok on a 30mm base, but would like to see one in the metal.

I have an old Ral Partha troll going spare. He's nice and small (compared to GW).
