DICE?????

Hi all I was asked by work to source some custom made dice and after a bit of digging around I found a company who can pretty much do any thing you want, so I started to think about how many threads I had read with people wanting to buy different sorts of dice and I wanted to find out how much interest their is in having some made for Blood Bowl. We would have to all agree on colours & design but thought it might be worth asking the question (we might need one of the shop owners or a club to be involved depending on the numbers let me know what you guys think.

The interest is always there, but if you do a search for "Mused Fable" and Dice and you'll see that its already been done, at least twice.

Plus GW finally selling these again reduces the mass need for them that previously existed.

I checked with Chessex a couple montyhs back and this is basically what I found. For small quantities, it is a cool idea, but came out to about $4.50 per die for the quantity we were looking at. With Gw not selling dice, that was walmost passible. Now that they are supposedly goign to be stocking them again, I don't see it happeneing here at least.

Yeah I see where you guys are coming from. But I thought it would be cool to have some different coloured dice or maybe a TTB.com logo set or something as for price I could get them for about Â£3 per set off 3 dice but we would need quite a few people to be interested to make the minimum order.

hey, could someone design block dice that are also d6s and incorporate the numbers somehow into the design of the symbols?

Q-Workshop is another place that makes custom dice. They're in the UK, and can make the right sized die for BB. I think they might be a little more expensive, but that might have been from the cost of shipping something that heavy overseas.

The number and symbol on the same dice is a good idea.

I think it would look wierd. Like I said, I was bored one night and drew up my own dice ideas (basically ripoffs of the GW ones with slightly different artwork so Chessex wouldn't say no for copyright reasons).

You might be able to put a little number sin the corner or something but, come on, seriously, we're gamers. Do you expect me to belive you somehow don't have enough d6s kicking around?

I dunno, it seems do-able to have the symbols and numbers together. I mocked up this in 10 mins.

What happens if you roll a dice that has the skull and the number 1 on the same face... who knows *shudder*
Perhaps the One could go live with the Pow.

I just thought it would be a cool idea, I was trying to think of something unique to giveaway at a tourney I'm planning, but in part it's for the times that I grab 2 d6 and try and throw a block

as in, "my CD throws a 2 dice block at your wood elf. . . ha, a 4 and a 2. . . crap. . . "

later that same day I tried to break armor but rolled 2 pushes

I fugure if we can get a die that is both block and d6 I can look like an idiot less of the time

I wouldn't say no to an integrated block/d6 dice. I've done the same thing as temujin71 to many times not to be.

Of course the worst is rolling for AV, and rolling a 6 and a POW. I can guarantee the 2nd d6 will be a 1.

Too true. I love when my opponent throws d6 for the block and gets a 10+. "Damn bro. That would've been a good roll if you had knocked me over first." LOL.

I do it too though

so I like the idea of the numbered block die.
