We should get rid of that idea from a painting point of view.S.
Errr, I agree. I have enough problems painting solid colours, don't make try to do checkers. ;)
One of our locals here in Dundee, Scotland recently fielded a Warmachine force done up in tartan... oddly enough he won best painted out of at least 60 folks :)

For sure there is still room...we are still on the picking stage of team/colour/theme. Once that is done we will start taking names and which fig you would like to do.

That is tempting!

Let me clear that out with my schedule and I'll try to make it fit! I'll try and talk my roommate in!

Dan,

Might be tough to fit the tourney in my schedule finally.

I'll be away most of the Summer weekends, so Miss SBG didn't seem too rejoiced by the perspective of putting a BB tourney in the only weekend I have off before our trip to Europe, scheduled for July...

Being a sportswriter is great, but it does hack a lot of your weekends... Next year maybe ?

So I just want to get this straight - the painting deadline is somewhere around feb. 2010? To be drawn for at the March 2010 event - correct?

This weekend is the deadline to vote for which team we do for the up coming year. On Monday everyone can start reserving the player/coaching staff/counter they wish to do.

The drawing will take place at the Canadian Open next year (April?)

Forgot to ask if any one has any ideas for base ring colours for player positions.

The other thing is if everyone can put thier name on the base ring so we all know who painted said fig.

Personally, I'm partial to uniform base colours, but if we were going to colour-code for position we might as well use the classics:

- Blitzer: red
- Thrower: white
- Catcher: yellow
- Lineman: green (originally Lineman was gray, but that was to match the Astrogranite...)

If we can select position, could I do a blitzer and could he be #4?

Well this is abit or a joke for me. This past weekend I held the Golden Sweetbun and there was constantly ties throughout the weekend. I personally have not seen that many ties in any tournament. So now this is a tie......

Keep it simple, the next team to get a vote wins .......
