Waow!

Announcing that now will give us many problems with the hotel. Are you attending to europen bowl Valen and 3 Scottish guys?

Sorry, if your team can't be completed. Let think about represent your nation with 50 % nationals. We could easily help you to find 4 freebooters.

The problem we have with that Daz is it doesnt feel like Team Scotland at that point. Not sure about the European Open side of things.

The problem is mainly the location, it is really very diifcult and expensive to get to Biarritz from Scotland, the north of England and Sweden which is where most of our team are coming from

Sorry Valen . You should easily understand we can't change location at this point.

Don't worry, the spot is very peacefull and rare. Playing in this amazing environnement with see view has a price. All rare things have a price. Best memories don't.

It will be a peasure for us that you and your scottish friends come.

If you have cheaper options (plane or boat), we can try to find a solution (drive you in a car from Bordeaux, Pau or Bilbao).

Hmm that suck t know about the prices but I believe you can get tickets in the area of 500 € away and home tickets and cheaper if you look at interlocking departures which makes it take a lot longer to fly though..

I could get you from Bilbao's or San Sebastian airport in my car if needed on friday afternoon, even morning if i'm still unemployed at the time... (and in such a case I will wear my scotish rugby union t shirt)

Try looking for a cheap low cost flight to Bilbao,... is just 150 km away from Biarritz,...

Yes that is correct.

Apparently Daz has been waiting for some NAF direction on the suitability of tourneys that may have limitations to the numbers playing.

That has been worked out, alongside a new document from the Tournament Director regarding NAF requirements for a tourney.

Long and short of it is - Eurobowl and Eur'Open are NAF sanctioned.

Yeh was a great tournament :)
However we as a team are now stuck in Paris, Gah...

So about the tourney:
I think it was a really good tourney.
High level of skill from everyone and many good close exciting games.
Nice people and cool grudgematches. Many really cool gifts, a cool place with good food in beautiful surroundings.
Happy about all of that :)

However every single danish player thought that it was an issue that we had to hurry games in order to wait till the next round.
We come to play (and have fun) first and foremost - and it was frustrating with the rush in the last all deciding games.
I think that it had been better with more time for each game - simply because that not once did we start on schedule if we look at it.
Everyone had to go to their seats, find their minis, get paired with their opponent in the captain face off, put up the game and then start playing. Took some 15 min. every time I believe.

So thx for an overall really good tournament - one of the best for me personally :)
And Thx Daz for doing a hard job as the organizer - taking on the duty of writing down every single match yourself.

As I hope I got through to (most of the teams) we will discuss our ideas for the rules for 2012 and then start a thread here on TBB in a few months or so.
Try and stay updated - because this way all arguments will be heard and everyone has a chance to playtest the supposed rule changes.

Looking forward to see all of you cheers.

Do you have any idea of which city it will be (very early I know)?
I see you're in Aarhus, Copenhagen is probably easier to get to though.

Hello,

Just got home from Biarritz, really loved the tournament. Very happy to be on the Belgium team that finished fourth and without wanting to gloat finishing above the Dutch (a traditional grudge match) but also above Italy, is a big deal for us. I'm proud with how we did. (any Italians reading this should see it as a reference to a hard thing to accomplish, certainly not as gloating over you, eventhough I must admit I did smile a bit about it though).
Also quite satisfied with 3rd place on most touchdowns.

Many thanks to my opponents:
Tourack, Ludo, Duke Jan, Geggster, Doudou 64 and Jean Manuel. I enjoyed each game, and I must say some of you teached me things. I'm sure I'll get better now through the lessons learned the hard way.

Many thanks to the organizers. Yes there were some flaws, but I'm convinced you handled everything with the utmost care for us. I see no point in arguing about any flaws afterwards as there's nothing that can any longer be done about it, so I'll leave it. It might be a good idea though to dispatch all the points that people had with the tournament to the NAF Tournament director (Pippy??), so a sort of script of pointers for organising Eurobowl can be put together. Potter is already asking for it, as they clearly want to do a good job in Danmark 2012.

And last but not least, thanks to my teammates:
Driesfield, Xod, Zoror, The Magic Tobe, Gesmachientje, Zoul and JJ.
It was great to be on your team.

Some top moments:
- Teaching Jimmy the Belgium Game
- 5-0 score versus Duke Jan :D
- The drink with the Belgiums afterwards, celebrating 4th place.
Many other moments as well, mainly with the teams England and Danmark.

It still hurts when I sit down. Great job from Dries buying me a beer afterwards. Next time make it a Belgian one, Heineken is just a tourist trap disguised as beer ;)
