The teams are much more based on 'clubs' than for example the Eurobowl, more like the situation fo rthe EurOpen; for the last couple of WC events there was a limit to the number of people who could play so each nation got a certain number of team slots to fill, I think different nations picked how they decided who went. IIRC for England last time it was mostly 'club'/'regional' teams who submitted a list of 6 names, with the club going drawn at random.

This time round it doesn't look like the amount of room available is going to be an issue.

There is room for at least 2,000 people.
