I think the biggest deciding factor as to who gets onto most of the National teams will be who can actually afford to go :P

I guess that will be true for nations travelling from far away but for the UK I think there'll be a number of people who would like to be on the team.

Anyway, there's a long way to go before the UK needs to think about that too seriously. Just agree with Grum - it will be interesting! 8)

Personally, I think the NAF should have no say in how each country decides it's players - it should be down to that country to decide on it's own (Team England it's Eurobowl squad [if they're going], Italy and [some of] Germany like qualifiers, Oz, NZ and SA thinking of a Tri-Nation, etc).

I think the talk was the Eurobowl would be held-over in the years the World Cup happened.

I kind of agree Darkson . But I think there needs to be some kind of objective criteria for deciding who plays. There are sure to be lots of people who want to play for team England/UK - more people than there will be places on the team.

Perhaps a team captain should be nominated (voted for on NAF forum by each country?) and he should decide weighing up all the different factors...

My understanding is that the NAF NTO (or RTO) gets to decide on the mechanism for determining the team. I think many of the European teams will be over-subscribed. However there is intended to be a "side" tournament so anyone can turn up and play.

Officially they are RTC's (Regional Tournament Co-ordinators) nowdays. (Some of the countries with larger memberships e.g. France and Spain have more than 1).
Anyway, you can find a contact list on the 'Contact Us' link over on the NAF site.

i think that countrys that will have a large number of coaches wanting to go should have qualifiers to decide.

i bet if you were to say that some of the current touraments in the calender will be a world cup qualifier as well, then the amount of people wanting to attend will increase.

these tournaments would not have to change their format just the results would be looked at by the National coach for the guys at the tourney.
