I felt that using unique skills/traits would take away from the game, despite the ever present CHEESE factor; as you can see I tried to make them as fair as I could.

0-16 Marauders 6 3 3 7 Frenzy 50K Gen, Phys
0-4 Khornate Warriors 5 4 2 9 Tackle 110K Gen St, Phys
0-2 Bloodletters 7 3 3 8 RS Clwz 100K Gen Ag, Phys
0-1 Chaos Spawn (D6) 6 2 9 Wild Animal, Frenzy, Mighty Blow, Chaotic*
130K Gen, St, Phys
Re-rolls 60K
May not freeboot wizards
*Chaotic- This player is touched by the gods of chaos and therefore can take Physical Abilities on skill rolls that are not doubles. Also his movement is unpredictable and random. To determine where he moves place the throw-in template over his head so that the 3-4 result is pointed directly towards one of the end zones. (You must use all of his MA.) If he enters an occupied square the Spawn will throw a block on the player, whether he be friend or foe. (This does not count as a team’s blitz for the turn)
How's that?

Looks interesting, but why do you have RRs at 60K, kinda cheap IMO, should be at least 70K.

Oops, that part was copied and pasted from another Chaos Team I was wrking on.
Yeah I'd say 70K at least. Probably more like 80K since they have nasty blitzers and badass blockers.

Problem #1. Only 16 player positions available. All teams will look the same. Boring.
Problem #2. Bloodletters are ST 4 with Block and Horns. This is a huge no-no and nobody will take it seriously until you get rid of that. ST 4 (and especially ST 5) can not start with Block. Not only that but the price is waaaay too cheap. Should be around 150K

Horns and ST 6? Yeah, this is way over the top. Not only that but you give him Thick Skull and AV 10

This guy will never leave the pitch and is a bargain at 150K. What system are you using to price these? Toss in Stand Firm and this guy will win the whole match for you. Get him Block and he's gonna throw your league into chaos. (pun intended)

From the way the rest of the team looks I'd make the rerolls about 300K.
They won't need them anyway because after one turn the other team will be down to 8 or 9 players.

Serious? Wow.

You did? Is this your first team?
Not trying to be offensive but this is way off the deep end.
Play test it and you'll see.

DL's wording may be a bit aggressive, but basically he's saying what I was also thinking...

I think you need the unique skills/traits to balance the team. As one of the 2 Khornite daemon coaches in the MBBL2 they're pretty balanced in that environment IMO.
Overall: Daemon - Khorne P23 W12 L11 T0 52.17% Actually that's slightly skewed because one of those wins was awarded on a disqualification, so if we discount that game they're at exactly 50%.
However, without the unique negatraits and on-pitch spellcaster rules I think you have a very hard time trying to come up with a balanced 'thrister..he'd have to be toned down to such an extent that he wouldn't be a 'thirster anymore.

I guess I need sensitivity training.
You know what's really funny is that in person I'm very likable and fun loving. (Well, I still have a big mouth but it comes off funnier in person.)

Hi Nerevar,
I think that the basic team looks pretty sensible - it looks like it was based off the standard chaos roster, which works OK. The big guy is a bit too good. Making him a wild animal and lowering his AV might help.
Cutting the Blodletters back to AV8 would also make it more acceptable that they are ST4 players with block. I don't agree that ST4+block is a big no-no as long as the rest of the team is balanced.
Personally I too would prefer to see a daemon team without the special daemon traits. On the other hand I don't think we need a team representing each chaos power.
Cheers
Martin

St 4 + Block is one of the fundamental no-no's for creating new rosters.
I like DL's Marauder idea. You could have different skills depending on the chaos god. Maybe Pro for Tzeentch, Horns or FA for Nurgle, Thick Skull or HypnoGaze for Slaanesh.

Thanks DW ... I'm not getting involved with this because the MBBL2 has been working on and playtesting the Khorne team for 3 years ... I'm pretty darn happy where we ended up at this point.
Plasmoid and I both have firm beliefs in team creation. I will say without hesistation that ST 4 and Block on any player in a team is a broken starting point. After more games than I can count of trying to have a team with this mix and failing to find one that was balanced, I have zero issue with automatically discounting any new team that has ST 4 Block on a starting roster player.

Not even a Storm Giant with ST 6 AND Block!

PS just kidding - there are a number of reasons why this works!

Thanx for the inpoint guys. Unfortunately I've never seen any form of roster formula, still new to the game. K how's this.

Rerolls: ?
Apothecary: N/A (Khorne cares not from where the blood flows!)
