Ulfwerner Big Guy for Norse

Post by Joemanji »

This should replace the Minotaur option for Norse teams, and possibly the Ogre option too:

Code: Select all

0-1  Ulfwerner  120K  7 4 2 7  Frenzy, RSC, Regenerate, BIG GUY  {GS}

As a big guy the ulfwerner should have wild animal. The other option I have seen is a snow troll using the trolls stats. A special rule for a snow troll is can not play under sweltering heat.

Agreed. A ST4/Frenzy/RSC big guy with no negatrait is way too good...even with AV 7 and no access to team RR.

Waaaay back in the day, we're talking CJ, Norse used to have a Snow Troll star. With frenzy and RSC. :puke: I think the ulf' is more in character. :)

Perhaps. Equally though, a ST 4 wild animal is utterly pointless. I wanted the ulf to be not so nasty as to need any negatrait other than BG itself. So:

Code: Select all

0-1 Ulfwerner 120K 7 4 2 7 Frenzy, Break Tackle, Regeneration, Big Guy {GS}
Or just give Norse access to a Werewolf (from the Necromantic roster)?

I don't think I like the idea of a st4 Big guy, I like the idea of giving the Norse ( and all the races ) their own big guy, but I think they should have st5 to be a big guy. Also he must have a nega-trait IMO.S.

What you created is the perfect blitzer in the game, something very similar to a bull centaur.
With break tackle he´s even better.
Give him block and tackle and he will be the best blitzer in the game, give him sure hands and he will be a scoring machine.
I don´t think that a big guy should look like that.
The task of a big guy should be to hold the line and cause some trouble, but they shouldn´t be good players nor should they be so reliable.

So he´s just to good to be a big guy.

What I meant by this thread was: how about giving the norse an "Ulfwerner" player (BG or not) instead of their normal BG access...?

Then choose another topic...

Well, I did start this one, so it could hardly be considered hijacking! :D
