Nurgle Beast a Idea to Upgrade it a little
Like the Undead Troll suggestion, wich I dont support, I would recomend letting the Rotters take a new rotter if a non-stuny player is killed by the beast. Stats/skills for the rotter stay the same as the average rotter but it increases the value of the beast a little wich is quite needed for the Nurgle Rotters.
Why Improve the beast? Because the team overall sufferes too much from not having an apo (for the beastman).
What do you say? And please state if you played against Rotters in a League enviroment.

First off I've never played with or againsed the rotters, however I think that if your going to make the rotter the same then whatever. The most important thing is that he gets tentacles, and they finaly make them offical. I have the team and some converted zombie/marine/choas mutations for the rotters that are a little futher along with their disease, anyway I love the figs and the team concept. S out

Hey another Canuck! Welcome to TBB! I used to live in Van for about 3 years in the mid-nineties. Anyway, have to agree with you on the tenticles part. I haven't played the rotters yet, but I don't see the problem with turning BGs into rotters if they have the same stats as the rest.

Off Topic: In the MBBL the Rotter has now Tentacles and ST 5 so it might will become official this way (hopefully!!)
Reason I did the Poll:
My MBBL Rotters killed a Ogre and my Home Team Beast killed his 3rd Big guy (in 15 games) and it sucks having 3 Cas (deadly cas) and not a single rotter raised while on the other hand all skilled beastman have at least a Niggle or a stat decrease...

As I've never played against or coached one I can't say either way, but I'm leaning towards yes.

I'm going to have to raise this issue with my Commish since I am playing Rotters -- and to me a death is a death.
If he can't save it on the spot with his Apoth - I get a 4 4 3 9 player for free.
Where in the LRB does it say the dead player must be man-sized? This is an especially stupid team choice in a league with an Ogre/Gobbo team, Dwarf team, Hafling team (and munchkins that would argue that elfs and Lustrians are "man"-sized).

My Rotter team in the MBBL had at least 4 Kills so far.
1 Ogre (killed by beast)
1 Ogre (by beastman)
1 Goblin (by beastman)
and 1 or 2 Human sized players (by beastman)
In my homeleague I had a lot more kills but I only killed the Morg Superstar with the beast (semi finale wich I lost).
But I realy dont support the Idea of having the same "raise the rotter" rules as the undead team (would have had 10 Rotters by now) since the cost/value of a Nurgles Rotter is 3-4 times higher than the cost/value of a Zombie. But I realy hate playing rotters right now. I loose about 2 Beastman every 3 games and have no apo to heal them (and they lack regeneration).
Too bad nobodey voted

I appear to have voted already, but can't remember which I voted for... hadn't played against a nurgle team then, but have since... as you well know, Robotorz!
Anyway, what I'd like is that the nurgle beast's abilities only work against big guys... better still - how about the beast has ST11, but can only block big guys, is allowed re-rolls and gets a whopping +4/+4 bonus on Armour and Injury rolls. (Could be explained by saying he is a massive player but rather short-sighted so can only see the big guys and doesn't notice normal players.)
That would work nicely and deal with the Big Guy Arms Race at the same time!
