AG 4 Halflings

Post by duff »

IF it had been decided that all halflings should have AG 4, how much should they cost?

IF this has been decided in your league, I strongly urge you to reconsider. They may me ST2 and quite squishy, but a team full of AG4, Stunty guys could be devastating nonetheless.

Even if you create a special Catcher position for the Haflings that only get this AG4 it would be OTT. AG4 + Stunty is simply an too good combination to be basic (not to speak of the right stuff AG4 combo that comes in as bonus)

I agree with the others - AG4 stunties are an abomination.

However, using standard pricing rules, you end up around 50-60K.

Yes, that's why many coaches gave their gutter runners Stunty back in 3rd ed.

Let's face it, Halfling's are just plain fat to have AG4. 8)

AG4 Stunty Dodge

Post by Bevan »

I once made up an AG4 Halfling team but I can't remember what they cost. I only ever played one game with them because the other coaches forced me to retire them after seeing the first game.

Snotlings are really bad with an effective AG4 dodging, but they are only ST1 and don't have AG4 for catching or passing. AG4 players with Stunty and Dodge are an absolute menace even at ST2 and low armour.

The snotling rules that were in one of the Comps even made them to good. iirc that team even won one of the Orion Cups. :o I think an AG4 halfling team would be much in the same boat. nothing that will be seen in my league anyway.

The halflings in our league have AG4 (and access to passing skills), and that makes them a lot more playable. However, even the most experienced coaches have failed to to do well with them. I don't think it is too powerful, though I'd personally prefer that they had AG3 and some other improvement instead.

My highest spp players on both of my lizzie teams were the skinks that got +1 ag, combined with stunty they went anywhere, did not need leap at all.

I think your most experienced coaches suck. I did well with AG3 halflings, and so did Galak. And there's a goblin team in a league i currently play in that finished the season 10-1.
