Turtle Teams
A little-known people of the isles off of Lustria, the Turtles were intoduced to Blood Bowl by the Lizard men. Using a similar mix of player types, the turtles have special challenges with their fastest team members having an MA of only 4. They offset this with being nearly indestructable, and with the Tortoises being able to throw their smaller cousins the Terrapins around the field often with spectacular results.

I played one season with this team (albeit at the time the little guys had AV 10, which I was later convinced was too high - not by the other players in my league, but TFF folks!).
Record: 9 games played, 4 wins, 0 ties, 5 losses.

Two Terrapins at SPP 16 and 21 each rolled +1 ST and took Dodge.
One Terrapin at 8 SPPs took Sprint.
Tortoises: SSP 17 - Block, Tacke. SPP 8 Block. SPP 7 Accurate. SPP 9 Block. SPP 21 Block, Guard.
The Terrorpin with 20 SPP (5 CAS, 2 MVP) took Juggernaught and Guard.
Team has 4 RRs, FF 4, 2 Cheerleaders and Apo. Current treasury is 80,000 and the team has a completely full roster. I like full rosters better than I like keeping the TV low. Deal with it.

DE* - best equivalence. The team was actually reptiliad, which is one our leagues "custom" teams.

Note that most of our custom teams have been reviewed by folks based on posts on the House Rules forum (look for topics started there by me) and a lot of our designs have been adjusted based on excellent comments provided.
Ok. Done my duty for now on the whole "challenge" issue. I have a monk team that I'll offer up again some day, but not until after they've got some games under their sash... er.. belts and I see if they feel at all balanced.
