Fan Factor increase without winning

I would like to have some kind of option to increase fan factor regardless of actual outcome of games.
I play a halfling team and am picturing a fanbase, that is more interested in risky plays, honouring former reckless flyers and cheering for the occasional casualty, than in actual winning.
I love playing the halflings and don't mind losing, but I am so into the game I hate the idea that noone actually wants to see them (meaning ingame fluff).
The thought that an underpowered team can turn a game with the help of cheering fans is very appealing to me.
So maybe one could add the option to buy ff for double the money or more into the league (i would even buy it for 50k, i guess), like the result of a heavy advertising campain or so.
Or maybe as additional inducement options.
