Big Guys and "Stunty","Titchy" idea ...

Why should a Big Guy not carry a "Stunty" or "Titchy" player instead of throwing him down the field? He looses one point of strength, 'cause he needs one arm to carry and you only can block the Big Guy. If the Big Guy goes down the "Stunty/Titchy" has to make a AG-Check. I he fails he has to make an armour roll to avoid an injury. And last but not least: A carried "Stunty/Titchy" can't be thrown in the same turn. What do you think about this idea?

Carrying players

A long time ago (BB Compendium 1), there was a Forest Folk team with ST4 Centaurs and ST2 Gnomes. The Gnomes could ride on the Centaurs while carrying the ball. The team was considered overpowered due to the ease of the Gnomes picking up the ball, then effectively having ST4 in defence. The ability of the Centaur to move, then have the Gnome dismount and run again to score without any ball handling rolls gave them a a very high effective movement.
Suggestions to make the "Ride" rules fair also made them excessively complicated.

I also like the idea.
We could add something like...
If the player carrying the titchy/stunty player gets blocked/blitzed, and doesn't fall (IE pushback, block) roll a D6 to see if the player carrying the small guy was used as a cushion. On a roll of 1, the stunty player got hammered and roll AV.
It could also be funny if the player carrying can use the small guy as a club (again at the risk of injuring the little one). It could add another MB... Yeah, that won't be liked

I think Stunties would still be too big to be carried easily. But I think it would be a great addition to Titchy. I like the idea of reducing the strength by 1 to represent the difficulty of carrying the titchy guy. It would add another dimension to the Orge team and not be too powerful movement wise (5mv ogre and 5mv snot). Maybe also add that Ogre GFI have a -2 modifier (it is tough to push it with the extra weight). Also the Snot would need to pass an AG +1 roll to "land" before he could move. This really wouldn't be that much more complicated than a TTM and would make ogres a little more viable as a team especally under LRB5 ogre team.

I really like this idea too, although, like Bouncergrim, I feel that for stunties it may be too good. Definitely a shot in the arm for the titchies though

but that would limit the "play" to only one team, i.e. the one with Titchies on it.....
I think that this would work for all small'uns if once aloft the Big Guy suffered -1 to all stats to represent the small guy shifting about and trying to hang onto the ball. (i.e. a Treeman holding a halfling could move 1 square and GFI 2, making it more of an option to give him Break Tackle)
GFI's at -2 is good
Oh and if the Big guy is knocked over, the little guy has to attempt a landing at -1

heh, just thinking, but would the player be able to make a troll have 2+ Really Stupid Rolls if used on a Goblin Team? Or on an Orc team, get a gobbo, give him Ball and march down pitch in the trolls armpit!
add in a rule maybe about the BG holding the little un too tight and smothering him

If the BigGuy is a Troll he has to make his "Always Hungry"-Roll every turn

and the 2+ "Really Stupid" Roll .... mmmmhhhh ... I don't know how to solve that problem.

It doesn't sound like a problem. It sounds perfect. Maybe only Trolls should be allowed to carry little 'uns

Or streamline it from the beginning and make them knocked over without a roll!

Personally, I think Ogres should have Always Hungry, at least on the Ogre team.

So if a big guy can carry a player with the right stuff, and throw him too, could he hand him off to another big guy?
if a big guy carries teammate then maybe that player should lose his movement for the turn and can only hand-off, pass, block or foul, or limit his move to 1 space
