I really hope something like this goes through. It'll be really fun to do some figure mods to go with Phil's Valkyries. Definitely adds a lot of pizzazz to the team.

Cheers,
Mo

Of course this new roster gets a Yes vote.

Now my only question is which model is better to use as the Ulfwerener, the Beorg Bearstruck or the Wilhelm Chaney minis?

Voted yes, this roster looks fun to play.

BTW, as far as the minis go, Beorg Bearstruck would work for the werebear, but for the Ulfwerener, personally I think the were mini from the Necro team fits the ST4 version here and the Wilhelm Chaney mini fits the Necro team better as it doesn't look as beefy (looks more lean and fast).
Anyway, minis aside, this looks really cool.

Took a wqhile reading the last post only to find it locked...I have to agree 100% with this as it addresses all the points I was going to support. MV7 catcher much better, and only Tackle on the Weres as they get a STR bonus anyway and given the cheap cost of Norse linemen are going to put in a good shoing at the start with a double block dice attack x 2 with frenzy on most occasions. Great stuff.
(would liker Zara to be an exclusive Amazon Star though - just feels right and Norse seem to have a lot of optiona as it is see my comment below)

I would still like to see some amends to the following and wonder if there is any plans to change though:

Amazon, I think basic line up is fine, balanced, good starting roster but slow down at top end! Issue is with Star player access, they only have one: Zara, would it be possible for her to be exclusive to Amazons, also why can they not get the Unicorn back at least or another Star Player with skills similar to a Witch elf, ..seems to fit with the spirit of the team?

Undead- still seem very bland, and appear to be a piece-meal team of Mummys borrowed from Khemri (where they belong) and not much else. Can they not get a re-vamp with possibly a vampire on the starting roster. Necro seems to be a much more interesting team along side this.

Elf teams - still think there is too many but I appreciate its difficult to choose one to go so will sit on fence on this.

@Torg

See I'm leaning toward using the Beorg Bearstruck models as Ulfwereners and just calling them Werebears and calling the Big Guy Werebear a Yeti. I think the Necro Werewolf is one of the ugliest mini's in the BB range. Might as well destroy the mold in my opinion. As for the Wilhelm Chaney, well I don't he quite fits the look of the Norse with his pads. As for using the Beorg Bearstruck model as a Big Guy Werebear he's just not a large enough model to really represent a Big Guy. The model's tall and lanky and is designed for a 25mm base.

At the moment this is kind of trivial argument over naming conventions for the new positional players. I'm happy with the stats and as long as my opponents know what models are what I don't care what the official names are.

Oh and those MV7 catchers should be 80K IMO ... there is no way they are worth the same as a High Elf Lion Warrior (or Gutter Runner at that). In the old cost formula, +1MV and +1AG might balance with Block, but as Improvements they are worth 70K and 20K respectively, which IMO speaks volumes. :)

Definitely. But the AV7 barbarians-concept is still plain wrong...

He couldn't carry the ball? Happy to see it re-vamped but feel it should have a place on Amazon star players roster. Having just one option and one that is shared by norse (on the other side of the planet I might add) seems wrong. Especially as Amazons get weaker on later development and cannot keep the pace.

Galak,

I agree with Nazgit that the catchers would be nicer at 80K, then 90K.

I also read the responses on FUMBBL too. Would the possibility of changing the Ulfwerener to 6428 and dropping the price win more people over (with a price adjustment for the MA loss as well). It might reduce people's worrying over Ulfwereners being able to too easily push players out of bounds, and I'd be perfectly fine with just the catchers being the fastest players on the Norse team. Could even then adjust the Amazons catchers to MA 7 too so that they're still somewhat similar.
