I think the MBBL2 has stumbled on the ultimate long term balance solution for leagues.

1) Use the new 3 tier handicap table that was developed here and at the NAF site AND
2) Require every team in the league to play one match against Chaos Halflings ever league season.

Its amazing how that combination works without anything else needed.

I actually found the Chaos halflings not to be that much of a threat when my Undead played against them. I used one mummy to absorb Yum's attacks and the other to gradually remove halflings from the pitch. Seemed to work quite well... and I'm hardly the world's most aggressive or successful coach.

the secret is to spread them out so that they can't use guard.

OK they can dodge but several 3+ dodges will fail at some point.... then clean up.

That said, when you are playiong gobbos against them and all the trolls do is regenerate or lie on the floor too scared to stand up..... that's not easy!!!
