Has anyone thought of or tried this?

Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

The other day I had an idea. One of those ideas that seems cool but you know you don't have the time nor motivation to actually do it. So here it is for you all to play with.
Has anyone ever made Mordheim/WHFB skirmish rules for Blood Bowl?
I don't think it would be that hard but I don't have the time to finish the projects on my plate right now.
Also, it probably wouldn't work well in a league setting since it's likely to have more ambiguous rules than regular BB...(is that possible?)

Taking the best 2 GW games and trying to combine them is a bad idea.

Well I didn't mean that exactly...

I didn't mean that they should be combined. I just meant that it would be interesting to play BB without squared movement. Ever notice how a player can run farther if he moves diagonally? lol
Anyway, tell me why you say it's a bad idea.

4th edition, somethings are just too large and complex to do well, besides u would need different bases for tz's. Not to mention needing very flexible rulers for movement to avoid tz's which would lead to beardy movements.

hmmn. good points.

You could the "intercept" rule from Mordheim and change dodging to use number of bases in contact instead of TZ's.

as many as were in the 2 inch (or change it to one inch) range. Why not.
If they are close enough they would exert a TZ in BB anyway.

That would make dodging almost impossible, that would be like having a dodge block skill like pass block, if everyone could do that it would shut down the agility teams.

How is that?

If you could only move one into base to base contact that would only leave so many spots open. Maybe 4 at the most. Plus remember that a TZ would only be an inch radius (same as now). The whole team won't shift. Only those within 1 inch of the player at the time of his move (because after that he'll avoid them just like normal) will move. Also you would have to increase the size of the field slightly. I don't see that movement would be anymore impossible than in any skirmish rules.
I expected some arguments on passing or blocking but the movement part of this is used all over the warhammer world and is tried and true. lol.
