The fact that no team should be denied being able to start with an FF of 9. I personally think any roster that doesn't at least allow FF 9 is an improper roster.Ithilkir wrote:Galak >
Well what's to stop changing it to :
0-16 / 0-12 Ogres
0-5 Goblins
Other than the "Oh my god! How dare he have a none even positional number!!!" factor?
Actually from having playtested the #2 Roster I can tell you that isn't true. Really Stupid rolls when there is no one to assist you really effect your teams ability. Even if an Ogre Blocker on a #2 has Block, there will be several turns you might choose not to use him at all to keep his TZ in tact. Not so with Bonehead ... I never think twice about rolling for Bonehead. So this one I speak from experience. As the Blockers get better the team does not become a juggernaut like the other teams do, including the one you suggest, Ithilkir.Xtreme > As above, but take any of the Ogre rosters and after 10 games you'd likely be saying the same thing,.

Not a bad idea, but I have to say that I really don't much care for an Ogre team, but #2 seems to be the most reasonable. I've just had enough of playing against teams with ogres (Morg 'N' Thorg and/or rookies).
Somewhere on this site I remember someone talking about an all mummy team... now THAT would be fun (for a game or two, no more). Movement 3 and agility 1 all around, scoring would be impossible!
But then again, I've always had a rotted spot for the "Deadites"

Hi,
as far as i´m concerned roster #2 is perfect.
* You can build it in different ways.
* It´s mostly an ogre team (as chaos dwarves also have Bull
centaures and minotaurs or orcs also can get 4 gobbos)
* To deal the "normal ally ogre" as the superbrain in the team makes
really fun.
* You are suggested to loose but can win
* everyone fears you (until they played you some times...)
* TTM is considered Passing for Ogres (They´re not used to deal such
little things like a bloodbowl)
* The other rosters are ...uhm...ääh... say ******** IMHO
The only problem is: All the little teenie coaches expected a superteam, unbeatable because they´re ogre. Anyone expected a team like the Oldheim Ogres or how they where called in former times.
If others get less braintrouble give the guys other names as it were said above. BTW: Gobbo-Launcher is real funny for the thrower (Brainbug...ääh... brainogre?)
I would really love them so...

Another thing I've noticed by the way from MBBL playtesting.
No one can remember the 10k winnings penalty for the Ogre #3 roster. I have two Ogre #3 teams in the MBBL. The coaches have been reminded and reminded again to deduct 10k from their winnings and they ALWAYS forget. EIGHT!!!! games played with the Ogre #3 team and the 3 coaches that have played the team (one took over from a previous coach) ... only 1 coach has remembered to deduct the 10k in one game. ... NOT a good special rule I'm finding ... waaaayyy too easy for the coach to forget and thus have his team benefit.

The biggest problems I see with that are teh special rules which a lot of people would rather avoid. And more importantly is that the BB comunity seems to be kind of torn on the handicap table. Some leagues are still using the cards some leagues aren't using anything some are using their own table while there are some that are straight LRB. So an ogre team that had special affects for the Handicap table doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
Stick with Roster 2!
And I am one of the guilty ones Galak was talking about.
But i only messed one game up, I thought it did it automaticly.

As a "goblin coacher" I must admit I just HATE this concept of "Ogre teams... to me they look just like goblins teams without big guys limits... and bigs using team rerrolls?!? Dammm
So I picked the #2, as it was the one with fewer goblins...
But a "plain ogre" team.... no rerrolls.... perhaps starting only with 7 players, if the coach prefers.....
About rerrolls... did you expected ogres to work hard just because YOU told them so?....
But, all in all, the #2 appears the more balanced...
