Well - if there is room for 24 teams then Bretonnians could still fit. I mean - the spot vacated by the halflings makes it 23 playable teams currentlyThe final 3 teams I think deserve to be in BB have already been unaniomosly voted on and approved by the BBRC ... 24 is plenty to me.

Cheers
Martin

Hi Mephisto,
it's standing concerning "officialness" is: Nope, not gonna happen. It doesn't even have experimental status, so it's relegated to house rules.
That being said, check out this site:
http://home.worldonline.dk/nyskes/bbowl ... nnians.htm
This version has played 25 games or so in the MBBL, and the feedback from the playtesters has been very positive. No more sweeping changes, or starting over. This is the team we've settled on. Only thing left is a bit of price tweaking, since they're slightly (too) weak.
Rerolls could drop from 60K to 50K
or Yeomen could drop from 70K to 60K
or both.
or neither.
I'll know before january 1st.
Cheers

I voted option 2, though I don't think the team sucks, per se. IMHO it just needs to be toned down and simplified. Too often we try to overcomplicate things (in both game design and in life) which is why we have more ugliness and disagreements than are necessary.
If I were to make up a Bret team list, this is probably how I would go about it:
0-16 Peasants, 40k, (G), 6-3-3-7, None
0-4 Squires, 70k, (G,A,P), 7-3-3-8, Sure Hands
0-4 Knights, 100k, (G,S), 7-3-3-9, Block
RR=50k
The key to this team is the Squires. They are the true workhorses of this team (much like real squires did all the hard work for the knights). Peasants are there just to get in the opposing team's way. Knights are the Blockers/Blitzers. The Squires are interesting in that they can be developed as either passers or catchers (or even both if they stay alive and keep earning SPPs long enough).
A decent starting team might look like this:
7 Peasants
4 Squires
2 Knights
3RR
Apoth.
4FF
I'm not sure but I think this is pretty close to the Bret team that I saw in a copy of BB Magazine (not sure which issue, as it has been forever and a day since I last saw it).

Hi Lycanthrope,
thanks for your interest.
>plasmoid, Do you, or anyone else, have a table top Bret team for this
>line up? I'd be curious to see one.
Depends on what you mean by this line-up.
If you mean the one I described, which the MBBL and a handful of other leagues use, then yes!
Check out the site:
http://home.worldonline.dk/nyskes/bbowl ... nnians.htm
There is a gallery section.
Mine is the one made up of thralls and 3rd ed. humans. I personally prefer that to a team that looks too much like soldiers/army.
Coincidentally, 4 posts up I mentioned the possibility of some price drops.
The team has been doing quite well in the MBBL, in the hands of experienced coaches, so there will be no price drops.
The team, in a word, is finally done!
Cheers

Thanks Martin,
The MBBL line-up was the this I was refering to.
After Xmas I want to download the MBBL1 tool and see if I can get someone to give me a training game or two. So hopefully I'll be active in the MBBL in 09. Should make everyone happy as I am not the best player out there. I need the practice the MBBL offers.
EDIT Good Looking team by the way.
