I think "position players" for Halfling teams should just be standard Halfling linemen with better skill access.

0-2 Halfling Blitzers 30K 5 2 3 6 Dodge, RS, Stunty (G, AG)

That is a balanced and useful addition to the current roster that has a chance of being accepted by the BB playing public. Halflings with Dauntless and Stand Firm ain't gonna happen folks! :D

Yep. But unless there are some Halfling Throwers
(0-2 Halfling Throwers 30K 5 2 3 6 Dodge, RS, Stunty (Pass, AG)),
I would propose 0-4 of the Blitzers.

How about give them AV 9, because they are lucky. Or give them -2 on injury roll a ofcourse +1 because they are stunty, but i think that fighting teams will hate them. :-)

OK,
Positional halflings look like a pretty clear favourite.
I'm happy coaching staff isn't in the lead. To me it is such a cop-out to fix a team by adding powerful coaching staff.

A free chef cook is all they need.
Winning with halflings should be almost impossible and not as common as winning with Wood Elves.

I hope you all enjoyed the crispy version of me.

I would make it like this:
0-12 halflings
0-2 halfling blitzers
0-2 halfling throwers
(as above)

Suurely the cost of the positional players should go up as even with just an extra skill catergory available and no extra skills they're more valuable to the team?

No, since that's the fun. Actually, I have the impression that according to the cost formula gobbos and 'flings are 10K more expensive as they should be.

Oh, ok then. I actually like the idea of halfing (and possibly goblin) position players, who just have extra skills, I'm all for the bringing back of Puggy Baconbreath style halfilings! and Spiky Norman goblins!

Bah ... just leave the team with their Ogres and use the new experimental rules for the Halfling Chef as a free member of the team. This is all they need.

I'm finding the team to be pretty good with this combo.

Let me explain {wince} about halflings on the field.

theyre DANGEROUS. seriously...

Observe:

Late one game, with my orc team pounding the remaining squishy bits out of a supposed corpse factory known as a halfling roster, the Ogre {wince again} bails up a quivering stunty intending some humour....

Trip Skulls. Well we all have a laugh and I lament the no team reroll for bigguys- just out of embarresment factor really. Armor is rolled and that fails too. More laughter, but now theres a hushed excitement growing over the thickening crowd.
Next thing we know Im looking for a replacement as apparantly apothecaries dont fix broken ogres.
But wait theres more. Next turn, with the end in sight this SAME DAMN halfling smashes a black orc so hard his helmet hits the third row of the second tier in the stands. This time I discover that RRs dont fix broken orcs and now Im looking for a new black orc to match my shiny new ogre.

Dont trust 'em. They only look harmless and squshy- its a trap!

My Halfling team is currently averaging 2.0 CAS inflicted per a game over 12 games.

I'm still not convinced this team needs help other than the experimental Chef rules that will probably become official this year. Leave Ogres on the team with the new Chef and I know they don't need anything else.
