Taking Away Ogres

Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

I think you need to leave ogres on Chaos teams, they've always had them in the past editions. Dwarfs don't need one though, that team is good enough without it!

If you want to go for fluff wise:
chaos should have'em, orcs should have'em, humans should have'em, goblins should have'em.
For the rest no one!

Maybe it is better to give the ogres a worse nega trait, than limit them.
or jack up the other big guys.
making the troll less expensive doesn't matter, players will still take ogres because they are so much better!
I would say give the ogres an AV lower.

I agree with Grotemuis' team list for Ogres. However I do not think Ogres should be made more expensive, no matter how expensive they are teams will still purchase them as they are fantastic players.

The orcs should definitely lose them and so should the norse. If the norse are now chaos marauders then they should be stuck with minos and trolls, after all, the amazons don't even get a big guy do they? (not that they need one) Ogres should be for humans only. On the flip side i think humans should get 0-4 or 0-2 halflings like orcs get goblins.

To address Redfangs original post
1) Take away ogres from Halfling and Goblin rosters or make them cost double again.
Absolutely
2) Take away ogres from orc teams; a troll is more than enough for them.
Yes. It is a GREENSKIN team! Plus,it would limit the ability to toss the Gobbos which some would complain is too much on such an already well rounded team.
3) Take away ogres from Dwarf teams, and give the dwarfs two extra psoitional players (troll slayers seem to be the best replacement) like the elves got
Yes to lose the Ogre. No to the additional players. They do not need them. Possibly a Deathroller big guy would be a satisfactory sub, but again could probably wait for the secret weapons. But at least that is fluff friendly option and Fun.
4) Take away ogres from human teams (they don't really need them anyway)
I cannot agree. They are almost the only team that should have them. Norse and Chaos and the Gobbos (at double cost) also fall into this category. Norse because that is their thing vs blodge of Amazons.

I do not see the need. Humans can score fairly quickly and easily already. As I see it the Gobbos on the Orc team are to open up a chance at a passing game by giving them an AG skill player.

If you'd like to see no more Ogres on Orc and Goblin teams, the easiest thing to do would be to take Throw Teammate away from them.

If Orges have to stay on the Gobbo/'Fling roster they should cost double and gain the Always Hungry negatrait.

For fluff reasons I think Orges should stay on the Orc list.

I don't think Orcs get Ogres in their army do they? I thought they only had trolls? Maybe I'm wrong. I haven't seen the 6th edition book and I didn'
t play WHFB enough to put ogres on my orc army. I went with river trolls.

in the newest edition of warhammer they aren't there. But in all the fluff they have always played a large part in the stories of orc and goblins.

Dwarves should'nt get nor blitzers, runners nor slayers. A completely new position should be introduced. Perhaps some sort of an improved longbeard.

I'd like ogres to be taken away from norse, orcs, and dwarves (without compensation), and cost double (be priced that way on the roster and increase the TR proportionally) for goblins and halflings.
