Suggestion for the New Elf team

Since everybody was speculating about the new elf team, I also got into it and using the image I like to have of an elf team I came up with the following:

0-4 Blitzers 7 3 4 8 Block G, Ag, 100000
0-4 Runners 8 3 4 7 Dodge G, Ag, 90000 (or 100000?)
0-12 Line Elfs 6 3 4 8 - G, Ag, 70000

Rerolls for 50000

This team is almost the same as the HE team but has no throwers, 4 blitzers and the catchers now have dodge instead of catch.
It would make for an athletic team that relies on running the ball in. It won't have a good capacity for throwing long passes or long bombs and should instead rely on the run-pass-run-handoff-run-score routine. That's the kind of elfs I'd like to see...

It might be a better idea to have 7 3 4 7 line elves instead of 6 3 4 8. Furthermore, if you want to spice up the positionals, either the runners or the blitzers could be given leap...

Eight players just one skill from blodge, and the over all speed will make that team very strong. It will combine the strength of DE and HE. I dont think that the disadvantage of not having a thrower will make up for this.

Keep in mind that this is an expensive Elf team, that will very likely only be starting with 2 or 3 positonal players. It won't be like the Amazons, who have the potential to have a full roster of Blodge fairly quickly.

Still, you do make a good point that once they get the money coming in, they'll be able to build a very good team pretty quickly. Maybe changing the runners' skill to Sure Hands and making their price 90,000?

I think I'd price the runners at 100k, Lion Warriors have catch instead and cost 90k - and I don't know any HE coaches who wouldn't prefer dodge 1st.

How about instead of dodge give them something a little more unusual - Shadowing say. Its not a wasted skill on them (MA8 sees to that) but they can't use it too effectively until they've developed a lot.

As Rupert said, lack of a thrower isn't too much of a problem when you've got that speed and AG 4. Might make development interesting - accurate vs guard/dauntless.

Yeah, maybe change dodge to leap; that fits rather well with the image I have of how this team should "behave". I agree that 100000 will probably be a better prize for the than 90000...
