What's that? Is it a Dragon? Is it a Greater Demon? No it's

A halfling in a bat suit!

Flight kit (usually consisting of a rocket and a pair of wings) 30 000gp Penality roll 8+

Most Bloodbowl players are either very stupid or having a strong urge for excitement. Some are a combination of both. These psychos are willing to do nearly anything to get a bigger kick out of playing the game. Sometime they get bored of standing infront of the opponent teams minotaur star player. This is of course not a very common occurance as they are usually dead by then. But the few, the proud the stupid that actually gets bored goes takes another step in order to get kicks, some join Slaanesh but lets not get into that... Others do other things but many realises that flying must be the ultimate kick. So far they seem to be right as no one have gotten bored after flying, but of course not many have lived long either.

The rule part:

Any player may buy a flight kit even after they have gained SPPs (thats usually when it starts to get boring). The player with the flight kit may choose to go airborne as his action this turn. The player immediantly leaves the square he stood in. To find out where the heck the player went. Choose a square as the players target square and treat it like if the player had been making a hail mary pass but instead of placing the ball you place the player (NOTE: the player never bounces like an uncatched ball). If the square is empty let the player roll to land just as if he had been thrown there by a team mate. Now it's time for the intresting part... If the square the player is supposed to land in is occupied will the flying loony land on the unfortunate player unless the player manages to dodge out of the way. Immediantly make a dodge roll for the player trying to dodge but with a -2 modifier as if the crashing player had the "Diving Tackle" skill (well more of the "Crashing Tackle...). If the player fails the dodge leave him in the tackle soon he was standing in and roll directly on the injury table with a +2 injury modifier for both the players. If both players stay on the field, randomly select an adjacent square where the crashed on player is pushed (resolve further push backs as multiple pushbacks from a block.

Note a player with a Fly kit may carry the ball.

If the player rolls a fumble for the hail mary pass look on the misfire chart too see what happened.

1, BOOM! Sorry the guy with the flight kit is now in the realm of the gods or rathers he's spread out over the other players. Something went terribly wrong with the flight kit, roll as if a bomb had exploded in every square adjacent to the square the player was standing in

2-3, Weeeeeeha! The player flies strait forward in a random direction (roll on the D8 table) any player in his way may try to dodge him, the first one failing his hit in full force by the flying loony. Resolve the hit as if the loony had crashed with the player.

4-5, Oh should this thing be strapped on? It seems like the rocket wasn't strapped on correctly, the rocket leaves ground while the player is stuck on the ground. The Rocket scatters as if a bad kick centered on the target square had been kicked. If a player occupies the square targeted roll as if the flying loony had hit him except that you doesn't have to roll for the flying loony (well he's on the other side of the field...). The player also looses his flight kit and you must buy him a new one before he is willing to set his foot on the field.

6, Weeeeeee... Oh wait nothing happens. The rocket was a thud, the flight kit may not be used until after the beginning of the next drive.

Becuase no one failed to catch them as they aren't supposed to be catched. It would make the rules alot more messy if the player could first crash down and then bounce a square (would he hit another guy?) and besides, if something goes wrong they should go splash in the mud not bounce.

Becuase most people doesn't want to read things like this, I have written it in white to avoid accidental reading of it so you need to mark it before reading (so don't blame me if your offended!)

Some joing Slaanesh and this is what happens to them. They turn extra ordinary perverted and idulges in perverties like Dwarfs having homosexual relationships with goblins [insert picture of Dwarf giving a Goblin a "beardjob"] or using a chaos spawn as a sex toy (very messy). Most of the Blood Bowl players entering this path dies from the various perverted things they do like having anal-tail sex with a sleeping dragon or having their own penises eaten while conscius or even taking part of the "lunch" but some even survives this and becomes something even worse, TEACHERS! I... won't even comment on that.

As for the RULE... it sounds pretty fun, but I would suggest a few changes.

First of all, you didn't mention where the player ends up if he does land in another player's square and both players stay on the field. I personally would suggest that he scatters with a roll on the scatter template, or perhaps allow the opposing coach the ability to just pick which adjacent square the player can roll into. If no adjacent squares exist, the opposing coach would follow pushback rules.

Second, if a player DOESN'T land on his feet, he probably should bounce since he landed from a much higher height than usual. You may also want to investigate possible injury/armour roll modifiers.

Third, you didn't specify whether the player can have the ball or not. If not, then no problem... however, if the player can have the ball, I suggest lowering the penalty roll to a +8. Teams that have access to this secret weapon could score a lot of one-turn touchdowns (or at least force the opposing coach to set up a wide defense against this) if it isn't kept in check. For only being a 30,000gp device, everyone on my team would have one.

Sounds like a really fun secret wpn for halflings. I will have to agree that a 8+ sounds more fitting for this item.

Yes 8+ seems reasonable, I will edit as soon as I have found the "edit" button.
