Tyranids deserve to play!

So you can happily suspend your disbelief when it comes to a sports game in a WFB setting, but you can't do it for a 40K race.

I can see most of the races putting forward teams for some cyberpunk football type thing in some lighter take on the 40k universe. But the only place I can see for Tyranids in that is in the roll of the 'lion at the Colliseum', i.e. one of the nastier hazards in the game of death. In other words the equivalent of spiked pit traps and mines in BB.

I suppose the ideal question here is, has anyone actualy tried a 40K version of BB? I know there's a Neromunda (sp?) version out there [I don't remember the specifics, but I remember the "ball" was self propelled, and the game if I recall right was a "get the ball in the net" type].

You'd have to take out ranged combat, tweak the back story like crazy (maybe make it BB's world in the year 40K or something), and alter some units, but it might be kinda interesting.
