Looking for a Wooden Sign

I've got a project in mind for a turn marker, and I'm looking for a miniature wooden sign miniature. Something about the same size as a standard player would be perfect, or a bit smaller.

Preferably something that looks rough, like it's made out of spare planks, and I have no preferences about metal or plastic.

Here is an example of the kind of thing I have in mind, I'd welcome any suggestions.

Nothing comes to mind off the top of my head, though I'm sure they're out there. Personaly, my first though would be to break apart some small wooden sticks like coffee stirrers or popsicle sticks and make my own.

I'm sure there's a Lego sign you could convert - perhaps in one of the younger ranges (my daughters old Winnie The Pooh set comes to mind).

Wheter you can get them seperately is a different matter though. :-?

Check a craft store....

Michael's (chain store in U.S.) has an amazing amount of small stuff.... I bought a "blackboard" for a quarter and painted a play on it... used it for my coach's diorama....

Try a craft store... they have lots of scaled-down knick-knacks that might work....

When I was more into the hobbying I'd make them myself. A knife, some glue, a popcicklestick and som paint and you're GO!

I checked both UK and US and it's not available (online at least) separately....

... and $30 USD is just not worth it if you only want the sign....

Cheers guys. I can make one if I needed to, but I'm concerned about the stability of the final product. I figured with either a metal or plastic version I can anchor it securely to the base, plus it would look more detailed.

I found a 1/72 scale accessories kit from Italeri which looks promising.

Lots of signs, and lots of extra bits and pieces which might come in handy. The best part is it's all hard plastic, so much easier to snip to size.

I am still cannibalising a plastic WWII accessories kit for German soldiers that I bought nearly 10 years ago. The wooden trestle table went to make a wooden sign for a bombing gobbo.

Just hacked it into a rough square and hacked some vees into the edges. Worked a treat. I'd say use ice lolly sticks though if you can't find something similar.

What about taking the image above shrinking down to the scale you want. Then glue it to a piece of Plastic-Card?

I plan on using that image, but I am going to alter it slightly... My Snotlings need some signs to guide my Ogre team from the Sideline.
I will eventully get photos up to show what I am doing.

This one might be useable:

Maybe they are a little to big for your purpose: bases are app. 30-35 mm, the post is 7 cm high. But hight is adaptable....
