SunDevil's plan to attend the 2014 NAF Championship!

Crazy as it sounds, I am exploring the possibility of heading across the pond to the NAF Championship in 2014. I know it is usually in May but does anyone have any idea of what the exact dates will be?

Or when do the organizers usually announce the dates?

Thanks in advance for any help you might provide and that includes all the listeners that have kindly offered rides to/from the airport and couches for sleeping!

Last year it was announced in mid-October. Then changed in mid-November, but that was the venue I think. Would be great if you could make it!

I'll look for the announcement around October then. Thanks!

Silly question, have you asked on the NAF site?

Maybe a pm to Joemanji would help, I believe he's our ( UK) tournament co-ord and may have an inside line on this....

Hi SunDevil and all

An announcement is coming very soon, I should think this month or next. Details are being finalised.

Would be fantastic to see more travellers from the US. If any more questions Joemanji is a good man to ask, as glowworm says.

Cheers
Brendan

Thanks guys!

glowworm, I am embarrassed to admit I did not ask on the NAF. I checked the site, didn't see the dates yet and then came here. :)

I REALLY hope it is LATE May like it was this year...fingers are crossed!

Also, out of curiosity, how many US players usually make the NAF Championship?

None as a rule I think. There have been some travellers, but none regularly.

There was 1 at the White Isle, I think in 2011.

1 this year. I think there were some details in the thread about nationalities.

Cool, so it is still sort of weird then - that works for me as I am used to being the weird one. :)

Father Galias made it this year, and I think there was another USA coach with him.

Be great to see you!

Think it was Father Gailus and Rodney Dangerfield who were the US coaches. I say I think, enjoyed a game of Agricola with them on the Saturday evening but my memory is a little hazy, I could have sworn one of them said he came from Hemel Hempstead...
