Friday:

The easy bit. For the 8th year running, King John’s Tavern has won the bid to host Monkeybowl’s Friday night soiree narrowly beating The Aldi Arms and Booze Buster to the honour. This is where everything happens, right in the middle of Hartlepool. Postcode: TS26 9HD.

Saturday:

This year’s Saturday night meal will be at Quattro Mori Sicilian (=Italian) restaurant. Postcode: TS24 7DH.

The table is booked for 6:45pm. Let me know if you’re coming on the Saturday afternoon of the tourney (and make your order – see below). You don’t need to tell me anything beforehand but you might feel like telling everyone here you’re coming, as is customary...

Because of the relatively early booking (couldn’t get us in any later) I’ll alter the Saturday schedule a little to make sure we’re there on time. This will mean a slightly truncated lunch and no break between rounds 2 and 3, and will probably mean going straight from the Masons to the restaurant. But that shouldn’t be a problem. Means more time for dancing later!

There are set menu choices (it will be helpful if you are able to select and post in this thread, though I will pass the menu around on the Saturday afternoon) as follows:

Starter
*Potato skins
*Garlic mushrooms
*Tomato, mozzarella and basil salad
*Mixed vegetable soup

Main
*Salmon in butter and sage
*Chicken in peppercorn sauce
*Pork scallops in salsa verde
*Any PIZZA or PASTA choice from the menu

Dessert
*Any dessert choice from the menu - no need to pre-book, just decide from the menu on the night.
