I'm really enthused about going to tournies after a brilliant world cup, and there are so many European tournies I'm not sure which ones are the ones I should be trying to attend. So which three would you recommend and why?

One tourney which I would give a huge thumbs up is the brassbowl. This tournament has some really excellent social stuff going on around the main event. Friday nights are game nights at the gaming club over there so when you get there on friday you can meet your friends over games other than bloodbowl. Saturday night usually brings you a chicken in a basket followed by either the Christmas market or a choice of bars and good beer. Another good thing about this tourney is that Oostende can be reached relatively easily from France, the Netherlands and the UK (and of course Belgium), so you get a nice international atmosphere.

I really like to try out Brassbowl my self, but must likely not going to happen this year :) (it's in december)

I got a number of tournaments I hope to get back to next year and the top 5 is:
Waterbowl - 18/19th February - Manchester
Dungeon Bowl - 10/11 March - Düsseldorf
The NAF Championship - 19/20th May - GWHQ Nottingham
Alba Bowl - June - Piss Bay (Near Edingburgh)
Carrot Crunch - July - Sudbury (Near Ipswich)

Alba Bowl is one of the more local ones for me. Pease Bay really does turn into piss up bay though with amount of booze that flows. :) Hoomin (and last year Phil & Fy as stand ins) does a bang up job on both the tournie and the booze fronts.

You gotta come to brass bowl. Maybe we can play ANOTHER game overthere.

I am already looking forward to play you on world cup III. :o

One of the best tournament I have been to was Thrudbowl. It's in August and run by Giraffe. The man is crazy, but as it's all for charity, you can pass it off as a 'charitable expenditure' to the other half.

I would also highly recommend the NAF Championship.

are you still in Europe? i guess yes and that you'll be arround for a while, if so on the 4th December there's a very nice one day tournamet near Bilbao Airport... a very funy and basque bloodbowler's familly tournament.

TXIPIROI BOWL aka Feel the Squid!!!

And if you fancy eating like a halfling in a tournament you are wellcomed to the III Patatonia Cup next september in the wineyards of La Rioja.

This could be your hotel: http://www.hotel-marquesderiscal.com/?P ... l_12/13/10

or this one: http://www.hotelviura.com/

or if you don't feel posh enought you could sleep with the rtest of the participants at the grape harvester's barracks that is our intention to do next year!!

Now you are the UK, check out Carrot Crunch first. One of the best events of the year, the location and unfailing sun in the middle of July make it a must-attend.

The NAF Championship was great this year, though I helped out with that so I may be biased. Other reliably great UK events include Waterbowl, Poo Bowl and Monkeybowl.

Going into Europe, Dungeonbowl and Brassbowl are two that I have attended, and both were absolutely brilliant.

Nothing will match the scale of the WC though, so I hope you won't be too disappointed...

AS well the last weekend before christmas is the madbowl in madrid one of the bigest tournaments in spain and I'm sure you can find a very cheap week end trip from Uk to madrid. Tournament is saturday and sunday but you can come back to Uk by 17:00 in the evening as the tournament ends at 14:00.

I do like wine... but I doubt I'll make another one before Xmas now. The WC wasn't cheap!
