Now im not saying i can organise a tourny (least not on my own and not until i have a car again) but i was wondering what people would think to a tourny in the local area. I personally am suprised that there isnt one there as its very accessable and im sure you can find somewhere to play (plus theres a great real ale pub that houses over 30 cask beers/ales/bitters and ciders). I feel im a little to green to be setting up a tourny just yet but if the interest is there then i will look into options

Sure some one out there will run one with you, till you work out what your doing.
Worst case if you do the leg work, sort out a venue (which i've found to be about the hardest thing) and dates, you might find somone willing to do the admin side for you or with you and run it on the day.

Local to me, so sounds good.
The best way for you to learn how to run a tournament is to come along to a load more! Get to know what they are all about first hand.

There was a one day GW Tourney in Sheffield, they got 16 to 18 players, I am sure a NAF sanctioned one would do just as well.

Im hoping that if i get one set up it will be a hit, as long as its on a none conflicting weekend i imagine it could get a good turnout with its ease of access

I am running the White Isle Star Bowl II in Mansfield which is only about 20 miles from Sheffield! Make sure you come to that. Humans get a good deal on skills too! ;P
