Hoping for some help... trying to find some accomodation for 4 of us in Dusseldorf for the Dungeonbowl and it's proving VERY hard to find anything within walking distance of the drakenburg... can anyone help/advise of a good website to use?

It's tough, as there's a trade fair is Duesseldorf which raises prices and lowers availability.
You can use
http://www.hotel.de/Search.aspx?lng=EN to look for a hotel in "Duesseldorf"^.
Currently i see a "family room" (hosts 4) at City Apart Hotel Düsseldorf (right next to the venue) for 199 Euros per night (incl. breakfast).
2 double rooms in "Hotel im Toennchen" for 99 Euros (incl. breakfast) about 1,5kms away.
2 double rooms in "Hotel Alt Graz" for 125 Euros (incl. breakfast) about 700m away.
If you need it cheaper, you'll either have to look into backpacker's or youth hostel or book something outside of walking distance and check public transport.

Frank, Baerbel, Rainer and me will stay here:
Domotel City
Adolf-Flecken-Str. 18-20
41460 Neuss
+49 2131-2270
30 minutes to the Drakenburg with public transportation
doubles room 68€ incl. breakfast
singles room 59€ incl. breakfast
I don't know if they still have rooms but I can check for you if you need that.
I currently have a singles room there but am looking for someone to share it with me and upgrade it to a doubles room.

Indi,
I'm keeping my eye out for myself, Grum and possibly Gumbo. Most "late deals" are within 21 days of arrival, so won't be seriously looking yet. Worst case scenario I could easily pick up something for about £30 pppn, though I'd prefer a repeat of the deal I got last year (4* for £18 pppn incl breakfast)
I'll keep you posted.

Anyone else looking to share? We have 3 people, but it's not easy to find a room for 3. Could do with one more to make it 2 x twins.
Cheers,

I am still looking for one to share (see above) but it would be at "my" hotel (already booked).
