when in London a few weeks ago I saw a copy of the CS Lewis Narnia Chronicles with each of the books seperate in one box.
Each book was a (slightly) different colour and I think (not sure) they were hardback
could anyone bring a copy over for me ??
I'd pay obviously, in beer or monetary stuff, that's up to you

You don't want those books Dave; they are not at all that interesting...

I'll nip into Borders and see if they have one in there.
In case not, do you know which shop you saw it in?
Cheers

That edition of the books can be bought at pretty much any Waterstone's or equivalent. Or from Amazon IIRC.
I got the Harper-Collins one with all books in one volume. Was rather put off by the film though (the worst piece of crap I saw since Madagascar) so I would probably have to re-watch the BBC TV-series before I could muster the interest to give it a read.

Now why would I want you to do that? We have enough cr**k-wh***s over here....
And if I wanted something it would definitely also be books, as they are just so much cheaper over there. But then again, I'll be in Manchester myself for the Waterbowl.

While reading this post I expected it to end like this:

Hi Dave
I could not find any hardback compilation.
They had two versions all in one set. One was smaller (the same as the individual volumes) and was £35. The better quality one was about an extra 10% larger and was £45.
In addition they have the smaller books currently on 3 for the price of 2.
Please let me know which you want. If I don't hear from you I will get the £45 one as I think that is the one you've seen. As I'm over in Amsterdam tomorrow I could do with an answer quickly! That's what I get for leaving going in to the bookshop until the last minute....
Thanks
Richard
