As I here all this, most teams are going to be bashy teams.... I was thinking about bringing a human team, having nice alll-round skills to maybe also score even

I guess you have to have the actual figures to be able to play a team, this limits my choice to human, orc, dwarf, CD and dark elves.

And as far as I see FF doesn't matter that much, only for the kick-off table. I asume that FF is changed normally after each game. So I guess there will be no-one with more FF than 5. Rather put money in a sub, just in case of injuries and since you can't buy new players....

Let me know if I'm wrong.

btw: is anyone coming from the region of Leuven?
and what normally happens on fridaynight? I guess it is a wonderfull chance to get to know the different players, but it is not needed to be there...

FF will be fixed for the whole tourney.. and it is unlikely anyone will have an FF greater than 4 or 5 I would guess, but not out of the question...

back when the old pitch invasion was broken, I regularly took FF 8 or 9 to tourneys and did VERY well as a result (lots of free re-rolls, get the ref, throw a rock etc makes a bigger difference than one extra lino)

anyway, what team do you WANT to take?? I'm sure someone (for instance me) could loan you a team for the weekend..

BB tourneys ought to be a friendly thing after all.. 8)

I don't know yet which team I want to bring, I was thinking about a team with lots of skill, since you can "only" gain two skills per round.

I only have expierence with the Humans but I also was thinking about dwarves. They don't really need a sub and could invest that money into FF. But they are slow and as there most probably be much other dwarves, it will be though to score.

I also started to play Orcs, but I lack expierence with them. So I personally would go for humans but I doubt if they have high enough armour.... especially if everybody is going for MB

I think I have to meditate heavily on this subject in order to know what to do...

and what team I want to play? I would like to try Necro, but I never have played them... I believe it is the best choice to pick a team that I have played before :-?

:( choices choices :-?

It sounds like friday night is fun, maybe I don't want to miss that.

btw a read something about someone who could pick people off from the station. Maybe it is best that we all arrive at the same time, to avoid having to travel constantly back and forth, except for when the group is too big... :o

anywayz : I'm comming by train, who else?

Experience with a team counts for a lot in a BB tournament. With a human team you should be able to come up with a fairly robust roster that will allow you to stay 'in the game' for most matches, which also counts for something in my book. So I'd say go for the humans.

At the moment it looks like the M@dhobbit chapter is coming on friday evening so beware when you're out there

We'll be drunk and dangerous :P

This always works as an excuse when you're playing like shit on tournaments

ok, humies it is.

Next I was thinking about taking an apo instead of an extra lineman. I thought it might be usefull to keep important positionals on the pitch like a skilled thrower or blitzer. I believe that especially in the later matches this can make a difference as more players gain MB and since you can't buy any players during the tournament...
I know it sounds a little silly because all your players get healed and maybe it is more usefull to take an extra RR instead...but I'll try to think of some line-ups.

Also I would like to put an oggre on the team, not that he is special, but he can tie up some extra guys and make that one critical blitz (if not gone boner).

Or I could also opt for a dark elf team, in which I have most expierence, they also have AV8 but lack speed, but which they compensate nicely with agility. The only problem is it is difficult to have more than 4 positionals in the line-up

yez, I was looking at it, but it has no line-up for humies at TR110.
I guess I'll to make one myself, or opt for the dark elf solution. They only have 11 players and 1 FF but all their players are potential scorers, which is a great benifit.

I'll think I'll let fate decide which team I pick, but I do know that dark elves might have some difficulties their first games because of the lack of skills. But as I look at it AG4 isn't that bad skill either. But hey yeah, that reminds me: I tend to make too much useless 2+ dodges with them, which kills your team.

I came up for the humans with this team:

1 Oggre 120k
4 Blitzers 360k
1 Throwers 70k
2 Cathcers 140k
4 Linman 200k
3 Re-rolls 150k
1 apo 50k
1 FF 10k

I maxed out on the positionals and went for an apo.. and still we have 12 players, which should suffice.

The dark elf alternative is:
4 blitzers
7 lineelves
1 Apoth
3 Re-rolls
1 FF

Which has one player less, ok dark elves don't really need that extra player. The only thing they miss is strength, but that you shouldn't expect from elves...

I also was wondering, this Trait you can choose after the third round, can you treat that as a double? Than I could take guard on one of my elves...

I know people have been semi-successful with DE at tournaments, but my own experience, and seeing others play with them.... they are marginal at best in tournaments. Yes, you will probably beat the Nurgles, Goblins and hHalflings, but they are on the low end of the scale.

Humans on the other hand are a pretty versatile team, never greatly succesful but always useful, and always something to do. They would be my pick of the two.
