It'd be a tiny bit frustrating driving in a car of mates for 2-3 hours to a tourney an end up playing them all! But it's rare enough surely? Figure it would impact on the NAF aspect of the tourney if opponents were semi rigged?

Not for round 1, at least any more than challenges, NAF-ranking, random or any other system.

Round 2 onwards, I agree, and am anti it (which is why I haven't voted, as none of the options work for me).

In first game I would be frustrated to play some one from my gaming club, but after that it has to be random to ensure fair match ups.

I've not really been drawn against clubmates overly other than the time I went to Spikey and out of the 6 games 3 of them were played against the other people I went with.

There's certain clubmates I would like to avoid on regular leaguenights, can't you do anything about that? :P

Someone just tweeted saying they drove 9 hours with someone only to play him at Chaos Cup!

I keep tending to play against big belcher from ARBBL at tournaments. It's nice and all getting the win but getting a bit silly.

No, otherwise it's defacto seeding.

I think it's reasonable, and a good option to have, when it comes to truly random pairings. So basically, first round, or maybe in later rounds if both of them are tied and there are no other tie-breakers (and there are enough other people at the same score to allow for a random selection to be made.)

Beyond that, if leaguemates get paired up, that's just the way it is.

I lived with Ceetee for 20 years and I played him in Round 2 of the NAFC.

I wouldn't mind so much but he is always rude enough to consistenly play better than me!

How you can do it (automatically) with Score? I know there's an option to avoid same league during the 1st round, but after that?

IMHO it is preferable to avoid friends during the first two rounds because it most likely won't affect anything (there are plenty of people with same number of points at that point anyway). Because it causes no harm, why not give a chance to meet new people?

It's in the settings, that people in the same groups don't play each other. Can be more specific later if it helps.
