I think this system can also organise a quick finish of the the tourney. If A or B wins the first two rounds, than the tournament is tactically over. No bother to play the last round.

That will always be the case if you play 3 rounds and let wins count in a grand total. If you just take total wins over the entire tourney to see who wins then if A goes 10-2 in round 1 and 2 there's also no need to play round 3. Unless you make wins in Round 1 count for 1 point, in Round 2 for 2 points and Round 3 for 3 points. But this means that if A scores 12-0 in the last round all the previous rounds wouldn't have mattered either. In general I would think that even if any country is sure of a win in round 2 the losers will still give their best if only for not losing face. (if I were Dutch I'd vastly prefer a 1-2 loss over a 3-0).
At least the champions system gives the loser of the previous round a slightly better chance of winning the current round. I also don't think the comparison with Eurobowl goes as you only play 1 round max against another team, next round you again start off on an equal basis again (ie you still have a chance to at least beat that country). hmm, kind of like my "wins only count within the current round system".

But if ppl prefer standard then we'll just do that. No problem, unless it's a cheese eating contest Belgium will win anyway.

btw, what is Ramstel scoring??

hmmm, so a city near the border. antwerpen comes to mind. might get us enough belgians to thrash as I think there's a league there

Ramstel scoring is the same as the Eurobowl.

It's plain and simple and makes the last round count.

well I want to have 2 tourneys and pick the best 3 from each and Draco picks 2... but Draco wants to pick 4 and only have the best 2 from each tourney qualifiying...
