Minor bug in Java Bowl?

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

Minor bug in Java Bowl?

Post by Arkeo »

First of all I want to thank you Ski for have made this wonderful software. Recently I have started a private test league using JavaBowl and BBTeamCreator (thanks Ronald), to practise the game with current rules. I´m still a bit used to 3rd edition rules (it´s coming, it´s coming).

Over to the minor bug. After the latest upgrade there seems to happened something in the comp-column. The thing is that after the match when a new roster creates, all early complitions any player in the team writes over. In the SPP-column it still count against the right number in the comp-column. It´s an minor bug who can be edited in a editor after every game, but it would be sad if it was just this that don´t work.

I don't quite understand? The updated roster is only showing the new completions? All old completions are getting lost?

though its not affecting the total spp adversely

Exactly! That was just what I tried to explain in my gibberish above.

Thanks Grumbledook for translating it in plain english.

I just tried it and it seems to be working okay for me. There is a possiblity I did something to fix it since the last patch though.

Are you seeing the problem in the original updated html roster or do you not see the problem until you load the roster into the BRC? Open the original roster in you browser first to check. If the problem is in the jbb html roster then email me your original roster (before the game) and I'll try a test game. You can find my email on any of the download pages below. Make sure to zip the html file or my email reader will mess it all up.

Found the problem. The roster exported by the BTC uses COMP as the title for the completions column. The parser in jbb was only looking for CP. In the next patch it will accept either, so it should work fine then.
