Steelbowl 2022 (aka NAFC's Little Brother) - 13th March 2022, Last Bastion in Rotherham
Posted: Mon Jan 03, 2022 7:19 pm
Steelbowl will be run using the NAFC 2022 rules as a one dayer!
Location: Last Bastion, 139 Effingham Street, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S65 1BL
Date: 13th March 2022.
Teams from the Season 2 rules, Spike 11 and after and the Teams of Legend PDF are allowed. Rosters are purchased with a treasury 1,150,000 gold crowns. All inducements listed in the Blood Bowl 2020 rulebook are permitted except Mercenaries, Special Play Cards, and Team Wizards. As per the 2020 rules in tournament games you do not receive the 1 free Dedicated Fans.
Only Goblin, Halfling, Ogre and Snotling teams may take 0-1 Star Players, and only after rostering 11 regular players. Eligible Star Players are those in Blood Bowl: Second Season - The Official Rules and released in Spike! issue 11 onwards.
In addition to the starting skills on your roster all teams will have additional skills that they can add to their roster. There is no tiering. Each coach can choose 6 primary skills and 1 secondary skill to add to their roster. These skills are all allocated at the start of the tournament so they remain relevant for all matches. The secondary skill can be swapped to a primary skill if you wish. There is no restriction to skill duplication i.e. you may give several different players the same skill if you wish. You may only select one additional skill per player. Statistic improvements and random skills cannot be selected.
The Round 1 matches will be randomly drawn. In subsequent rounds, players will be ranked by points total and paired off e.g. 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, etc. Where players are tied on points they will be drawn against a random opponent who (where possible) has the same number of points. You will not be drawn against an opponent you have played in a previous round.
There will be three rounds. Scoring is two points for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss.
After the last round, final standings will be separated by the following tiebreakers:
1. Opponent Score - the sum of all opponent’s tournament points, also known as strength of schedule.
2. Net Touchdowns + Net Casualties
3. Net Touchdowns
4. Net Casualties
5. Touchdowns Scored
6. Casualties Inflicted
7. Random
Only casualties that would incur SPPs will be counted.
