What Blood Bowl historians will surely describe as The Year of the Mercenary has come and gone. Sixteen coaches gathered to test their mettle with the very broken mercenary rules from Death Zone included as part of team creation for Beantown Brouhaha VII. Cheap access to Dirty Player (+2) on Stunty Superstars and Legendary Linemen and Mighty Blow (+2) and Claws access on Bona Fide Big Guys proved brutally effective.

In the end, the sixteen gathered coaches would average over eleven casualties inflicted and just over two and a half touchdowns per squad after three rounds of play. Two coaches would not allow a single touchdown over the entire event!

In a shocking turn of events, the bold halfling squad of The Feastie Boys coached by kowal will forever be immortalized as the Champions on The Hand of Roze-El. Even more shocking would be the fashion in which they and their mercenaries dominated the event, securing awards for Best Offense, Most Brutal, and The Stunty Cup in addition to the Championship.

My heartfelt thanks to Great Stories Comics and Gaming for hosting us, and to all of the coaches who made the trip out for the event. It was good to see all of you and hang out and talk Blood Bowl. The next tournament I am running will be the inaugural Tricorn Cup at Captain Con on February 5, 2022 in Warwick, RI, USA. But, I am looking forward to playing in just two weeks time at the PVSN Network Blitz! in Hadley, MA, USA.
