Tash Bash (Movember charity): Lancs 28&29th Nov - cancelled

Post by shaniepoo »

Tash Bash!!! proudly sponsored by https://www.krmulticase.com/

Full! No spaces left

This is the 2nd charity tournament I've ran (Pornbowl a few years ago was the 1st) that supports the https://uk.movember.com/ foundation, helping to support men's health awareness (Prostate & testicular cancer), male mental health and men's suicide. I've been raising money for the charity for the last 10 yrs and my aim is to break the £3000 mark next year. 100% of the ticket money will be going to the charity so this is a total zero profit event.

The tournament will be held in the lovely (cough) city of Lancaster in the NW just off the M6 (So easy to get to). There are plenty of hotels in and on the edge of the city. Some great real ale pub (as well as not so great pubs) and a veriety of nightlife.

TICKETS:
Tickets are £15 (players must be paid NAF members) and payment via Paypal to be made to shaniepoo2000@yahoo.co.uk and be titled 'Tash Bash'.

VENUE:
Trimpell sports and social club
Out Moss Ln,
Morecambe
LA4 4UP

https://trimpell.org.uk/

RULES:
The GW Official rules will be used as well as the Spike! magazine teams and rules. All 26 NAF approved teams will be eligible for use.

There will be 6 games over the course of two days using the Swiss format - Random draw for round 1, then each round thereafter 1st and 2nd place play each other, 3rd and 4th place play each other, 5th and 6th place play each other...

Point scoring will be set as:
Win 10pts
Draw 5pts
Loss 0pts

Bonuse points will be awarded for casualties (Blocking And fouling) and TDs to a maximum or 2 in each category.

TEAM BUILDING:
Each coach will have 1,200,000gps to spend on their team. Stars players are allowed (1 per team unless stunty and then you can have 3), but can only be included after the minimum 11 players are part of your roster.

Inducements can be purchased with the exception of special play cards. Bribes are reduced to 50,000gp for Goblins, and Halling Chefs are reduced to 100,000gp for Halflings.

SKILL SET:
Races are split into tiers and each tier gets the relevant number of skills to distribute as they wish. You can stack up to 2 skill depending on the tier your team is, the number of player who can do this is indicated by '(x)', and in this case the 2nd skill can be a double. Any star players you have hired to be part of your team can NOT have any extra skills.

Tier One
Amazon's, Chaos Dwarfs, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Norse, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves
Tier Two
Bretonnians, Human, High Elf, Necromantic, Orc, Pro Elf, OWA.
Tier Three
Chaos, Chaos Pact, Khemri, Nurgle, Underworld, Vampire, Slann, Khorne
Tier Four

Venue sorted !) !) !) :D The Hospital has rooms in their education ctr that I can use as I'm a member of staff... SORTED! I need to check out the table sizes but should fit 20 people. 2 rooms have a retractable wall (I think), of that's the case then should be able to squeeze in more players if needed. :D

Facebook event also created. I've tweaked the skills set a bit so that stacking/double skills is a bit more limited.

Tier 1 - 6
Tier 2 - 7 (1 stack)
Tier 3 - 8 (2stacks)
Tier 4 - 9 (3 stacks)

I'm also looking at doing some kind of auction for some teams and minitures. Number will be capped at 20ish for the time being but I may be able to increase this.

https://www.krmulticase.com/ have kindly sponsored Tash Bash and have donated 3 model cases (1, 2 & 3 tier cases - Aquilia 1, 2 & 6 on there website) :D . These will be auctioned off on the weekend of the tournament and each case will come with its very own team. Again, all Money raised will go towards the Movember foundation.

With the current situation world wide resulting in lock down and the cancellation of some events over the coming months this is just a reminder that Tash Bash should still be running (I hope all this has blown over by then :-?) unless social distancing is still in place.

Stay safe people.

Good to have you aboard. :D Added to the list along side Phil Campbell.

As I've said, no payment needed yet until this global hemorrhoid is cleared up. 5 months should see us in the clear lockdown wise. Keep safe people.
