GGUK 2019/20 is here!

Rules:

All UK NAF coaches are eligible to score GGUK points at every UK NAF tournament which qualifies to award a NAF trophy as per NAF guidelines. This does not include BB variants such as Sevens.

From the 2017 updated sanctioning guidelines:

NAF Trophies may be awarded to the winner of any sanctioned tournament so long as it meets minimum attendance requirement... [if it has] 4 rounds or more, 12 coaches are required; if it has 3 rounds or fewer, 24 coaches are required.

Golden Gauntlet points are scored as per the second tab of scores spreadsheet (link below). The intention is to award pure gaming results but also other aspects of the wider hobby which are traditionally recognised at tournaments with prizes. There is no limit to the number of tournaments coaches can score in.

Coaches who score for their final placing and for Most Touchdowns or Most Casualties at a single tournament will only register a single score, whichever is higher e.g. a player who finished 18th at a 100+ event (8 points) and also won Most Touchdowns (10 points) will score 10 points only.

Best Painted Duel will be awarded at the NAF Championship only. Best Painted points will be awarded only if you used the team it was awarded to.

In the event of tied total scores, the coach with the highest tournament placing(s) will be placed highest.

Hopefully all tournaments will recognise Best Painted, Stunty Cup, Most Touchdowns and Most Casualties in some way, even if it’s no more than lip service here on TFF. No prize, trophy or certificate is necessary. To assist with this please can TOs remember to post a final table as well as a short run down of awards after the event. In the event that full tournament info is not made available by the TO no points will be awarded.

The highest points scorer at the end of the year will be awarded the Golden Gauntlet trophy at NAFC 2020.

First points of the new season are in - stickwithpoo gets a weekend in the spotlight after his victory at Block on the Tyne.

Can the golden gauntlet winners get something listed on Their NAF records page? In The “other” section maybe?

No idea tbh. Hopefully a NAF website guru can drop in and answer that.

In the meantime AWM has been added - Hobby Hero Heartsbane sweeps to the top off the back of 2nd place and Best Painted. Wibble points outstanding.

Granite added. Phil78 moves to the top amid the perfect storm of being the first to attend two events and having performed well in both! Backbreaker results pending.

Swiftly followed by Backbreaker results. New entry to the top 10 in the form of VonLeppard whose 4th place and stunty cup win is good for 7th.

Cakebowl added. Maverick's twelfth place takes him to second while the top finishers all take spots in the top ten.

WIBBLE added. MJAllen takes his turn at the top after taking 6th place, holding off Maverick's challenge by virtue of better finishing positions.

All change at the top after a heavy weekend of Blood Bowl across the country with FIVE tournaments! Only have results for two at present so will add rest once available. For now though, Maverick and Hawca's 1st and 3rd at Tale of Two moves them to 1 and 2 in the standings, Gritter rounds out the podium spots after taking home 7th at Pearlies, while GColeman76 moves up behind in 4th after taking home the Pearlies title. Nightwing and YogiBedlamBear enter the top 10 after solid weekends.

BATC results are in the thread so should put phil78 higher

Big update this morning as BATC, Alpha, COSHH and Gert are added.

Maverick opens up a sizeable lead at the top while Phil78 moves back up to second with his win at BATC. Heartsbane's second bridesmaid award of the season lifts him to 4th with Nightwing following him into 5th. Scs.sam, Besters and Stick round out the top 10.

Still waiting on a few results.
