Tim from Element Games is running a one day tournament there on Saturday 28th January. It's looking like it won't be NAF ranked at the moment, but it should be a fun day at the NWGC.

This event is perfect for new and experienced coaches alike. We'd like to thank the Waterbowl, Manchester Blood Bowl Community, for letting us use their Rulespack. This event will be the perfect warm-up for their two day event happening at the EGNWGC a month later.

EVENT FORMAT
The Event will follow all the Standard Blood Bowl rules found in the Core Rulebook and Deathzone Season 1 book.
We will be playing 135 minute rounds (2hr 15mins), with a 15 minute break between rounds 2 & 3 and a 30 minute lunch after Game 2. Games need to be played at a fair pace, if you feel your opponent is being slow please remind them of the 4 minute turn time limit.
Round 1 will be a random draw with rounds 2 & 3 being paired Swiss.

You may use any Team featured in the Deathzone book or from the Teams of Legend PDF

All teams must be rookie teams with a starting value of 1,100,000 gold pieces.
There is no painting requirement for this event but there will be a prize for Best Team!
STAR PLAYERS, WIZARDS and INDUCEMENTS
Star Players and Wizards are allowed. All other inducements listed in the Rulebook, Deathzone and Teams or Legend are also allowed.
Special play cards are allowed. If you are taking special play cards then you choose the value/quantity before the tournament begins. Draw your cards in front of your opponent for that round before the game starts.
Necromancers can resurrect a single killed opponent to use as a Zombie during that game only. After the game he team loses any bonus player gained during the game.
TEAM IMPROVEMENTS
Star Player Points (SPPs) will not be used in the tournament. Each team will be the same for all 3 matches. Before the start of the tournament you should select one of the following skill upgrade sets:
Set 1: 5 x skills, 1 x double
Set 2: 4 x skills, 1 x double, 1 MV+1 or AV+1
Set 3: 3 x skills, 1 x double, 1 AG+1
Set 4: 3 x skills, 1 S+1
No player can receive more than 1 upgrade. Star players cannot receive an upgrade. Instead of a double you may select a normal skill. You may not use this to pick a stat increase. Any stat increase included in an Upgrade Set MUST be taken. You cannot change skill set or skills during the tournament.
CASUALTIES
All casualties that have been inflicted on your team are wiped away at the end of each game. This mean you will start each game with a full team with the same skills as you chose at the start of the tournament. Although casualties are wipped after each game they will still count towards the final count for the 'Most Casualties' Award
WORKING OUT WHO HAS WON!
Tournamnet points
Win by 2 or more TDs: 7 points
Win by 1 TD : 6 points
Draw: 3 points
Loss: 0 points
In addition to this each, round there will be one bonus point on offer. Both coaches can achieve this.
Round 1: Score Three or more Touchdowns
Round 2: Inflict Three or more casualties
Round 3: Push Two or more players off the pitch
The Team with the most Tournament Points after three games wins. Touchdowns and Casualties will be recorded for the extra awards but Strength of Schedule will be the first Tie-break. Only Casualties inflicted by Blocking count towards Awards.
PRIZE SUPPORT
Exact prize breakdown depends on final numbers.
Every player will receive a Weather Mage Special play card and pin badge for taking part
£5.00 per person will be awarded as Element Games Vouchers plus:

Snacks and drinks will be available on site. It is recommended to bring your own lunch but there are local shops and Takeaways within walking/driving distance if you want to buy some.
Parking/ travel:
FREE PARKING all day outside in the venues shared/private car par and next door in the 46 space Council run car park.
Public transport:
Davenport train station is the closest at a 10-15 minute walk but the main Stockport Station is also only 20-25 minute walk (and you'll find more frequent trains). You can get the bus from Stockport Station for less than £2.00 each way. And the Bus stops at the end of our road - opposite Premier Inn and is a 2 minute walk.

This purchase is for a virtual ticket and no physical product will be sent out to you. If you discover you can't attend the event we can process a refund for you up to 14 days prior to the event running. Please email support@elementgames.co.uk.
