Stirling Wargamers are pleased to announce Ochilbowl 2016

For the first time this will be a TWO day Bloodbowl tournament. It will be held at Common Ground Games, Stirling on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of August.

Tickets Cost £25 for NAF members and payment can be sent to stirlinggamers@gmail.com via PayPal or you can pay in person on a Thursday night at the club. For non-NAF members there will be memberships available at the tournament for a cost of £5.

Can we please have clarification on whether star players can be part of the 11 players minimum, or can only be purchased AFTER the minimum 11 rostered players? Thanks!

If it is intended to be the same as Bridie Bowl then Star Players can be purchased BEFORE the minimum 11 rostered players

i.e. Star Players count towards your minimum of 11 players.

We'll be playing that Star Players can only be purchased after the minimum 11 normal roster players.

Just to point out this is a change from last year's Ochil Bowl rules and different from this year's Bridie Bowl rules.

Thanks for the clarification - just thought we should get it out of the way early! Might be worth updating the rules pack with it to be honest...

Good point as it is not in the CRP rules and therefore is a modification to the established competition rules

Is the restriction that Star Players may not take your team to over 16 players still in place or is that being modified as well?

In fact I have a list of another 100 odd modifications I would like to clarify, alternatively we could just stick with the rules as they are and stop messing around with them? Just an idea!

Oh and whilst I am in rant mode, it is a delight to see that the "2 Doubles and no more that 2 of" additional skill set has been retained in spite of a lengthy conversation last year about why it benefits the two strongest races to the detriment of all the rest, discourages diversity and encourages power gaming.
