Yes, Patatonia is back. The halfing theme based tournamet where food is the more important thing. Well, actually rioja red is quite important as well, and a beer or two early morning, and a pinchos and tapas night on friday the day before the tournament,...
This year we will be hosting the tournament in this great riojan style barbaque restaurant:
http://www.asadorsajazarra.es/
Clasic Rioja menu with baby lamb chops and iberian pig ribs, and of course riojan boiled potatos with chorizo!!
Free sleeping place for the first 18 to book in, all together no toilet in a medieval chapel. (Peterd from Germany not included in the 18 count as he has his own bed booked since last Orktober).
Bring your own sleeping bag.
But if you prefer to come with family or a better more private acomodation there is this lovely bed and breakfast in the little village:

Other places in Haro and Casalarreina nearby.
For booking your place use this web although who cares on the rules as you are gonna be so drunk you will not remember them! But if more than two people from other countries decide to come I promise I will translate them sometime this summer.

To arrive in Rioja fly with Ryanair to Zaragoza is the cheapest option. Then car, bus or train. We could pick you up at Haro's or Miranda train/bus station. From France it is two hours away from the frontier at Hendaye.
Ferryboat: two hours to Santander where a Ferry from england comes, Ryannair flys too to Santander.
Finaly if you are brave enought you can land in Bilbao and you are just an hour away for Rioja. No Ryanair just easyjet and vueling, lufthansa, british, iberia, and so on....
It will be harvest season the vineyards will be an amazing sight and we will be blocking and dodging! But some one has to drink all that wine so the poor halflings can put their harvest back into their deposits, they need to make room!! And we are gonna help them!
NOte: if someone decides to come for a holiday in north spain for more than just a weekend and needs help don't hesitate to ask, I will be able to help.
