hi guys, as many here know, the 3rd annual mike kriger memorial cup is coming up. for the last 2 years, the event has been on the last saturday of october. well, that may be a problem, becuse misses glory is expecting a baby during the 2nd half of october
now, as i know there are many members who want to come to this event, whats that mean to you? well, nothing at this point. i'm in the process of getting some sponsors for prizes. and i'd be remiss if i did'nt thank last years sponsors: GASPEZ ARTS, WILLY,GOBLIN FORGE, ALL THE NUTS THAT SENT DICE(way too many to list, but believe me, i do thank you. without you, there would'nt have been a prize for everyone to take home. and as my cousin mike was a generous guy, thats how he would want it and thats what we want to continue to do.) THE BOYS AT THE WEST COAST QUAKE, and all the rest.
the event will again be at the nesquehoning, pa. rec center and the entry fee is again $10 which will again include unlimited drinks, and pizza from SAL's who have already agreed to donate the pies.
anyway, i know its a bit early, but i thought i'd update. like i said, at this point there should'nt be a problem. hopfully the baby will come early

and the event will go ahead as planned!

we're in business, boys! i just got a great box of prizes from WILLY! and our friend GLOWWORM has thrown in with us again!
i really can't thank WILLY enough. heres a guy, who because he was in the spannish army, has been very generous with our small get togeather dedicated to our friend and my cousin, mike. who was killed in action in afganistan. he has gone above and beyond. believe it.
the members here are really good people.

God bless you guys. really.

fabio at GASPEZ-ARTS has been very generous again this year! looks like the top prize will again be one of the fine teams from gaspez. he has allowed me to pick which team he will donate, so i'll look into that.
thank you, fabio! and i gotta say your new high elves look great!

tom at impact! has kindly offered to donate a prize for our event. i'm looking into moving the tourney to allentown, or scranton pa. due to the fact that we are in the coal hills of northeast pa and getting members to attened is very hard. the move will be in 2013.
i want this to be one of the biggest tourneys on the east coast. we get about 20 coaches, and thats great. but i think we can do better with a bigger venue. some place thats easier to get to.
also, I WILL REJOIN NAF and besides getting a cool set of block dice, we will be a NAF sponsored event. i really don't know if thats good or bad. mean to say, we have a good bunch of newish players and i like the "lets have fun" feeling of the gig. if the "win at all costs" guys show up
so theres that. THANK YOU, TOM AND IMPACT!

well, boys, the 3rd annual Mike Kriger memorial cup is in the books. and it came down to a nail biter, and no mistake!!
we had 23 coaches and most of the NAF approved teams were in play. noteable absent were halflings and surprisingly, vampire(it being halloween, and all). the ages were between 14 and 45, with 2 ladies vieing for the title.
as i've just gotten home, i'll do a proper write up later, but the top 3 were:
first place, Phil"pile on" Jordan. phil played an orc team, the green manglers.
2nd place, shawn noble, chaos pact "the punisment commity"
3rd place, jeff hoff, human team knucklesandwich
first place recieved a lovly norse team donated by fabio at gaspez arts.
2nd place got to take home the thunder hammer dwarf team kindly donated by tom and impact!
3rd spot got a gw high elf team painted by my wife, shirley.

well, where to start?
23 players. free pizza. free drinks. what more can we ask for?
the glowworm award(for craziest chance taken) was won by my old friend, rich sandt.rich pulled off a loose ball, a 2 dice, opponents advatage, blitz, a dodge, and 2 go for its to score aganst a skaven team. rice played the old snotling team, and played well.
matt buckold won the team chaos award for most casulties.
jim merring won best painted. his norse team is just plain stunning.
wooden spoon went to ellen buchman. she was a good coach to play against. i hope she plays next year.
