So, contrary to popular belief, the Toy Soldier Blood Bowl has not actually died/been cancelled this year.

Darren informs me that there are some paid up punters and the event is going ahead at the NWGC in Stockport on July 21/22. The event is NAF ranked.

A quick precis of the rules:

TV115

Choose a skillset from the following:

5 x normal, 1 x double
4 x normal, 1 x double, 1 x +1 MA or AV
3 x normal, 1 x double, 1 x +1AG
4 x normal, 1 x +1 ST

Inducements are allowed but only goblins can take bribes and only halflings can hire the Master Chef. Special play cards are not allowed.

Veto Rules
To help even things up, Toy Soldier has a veto rule. If you are playing a race 1 tier above you you can veto 1 skill or stat increase of your opponent. If the gap is two tiers, you can veto two!

Tiers

Tier 1: Undead, Woodies, Amazons, Dwarves, Skaven, Dark Elves, Chaos Dwarves, Norse, Orcs, Lizardmen

Tier 2: Elves, Chaos Pact, Slann, Chaos, Nurgle, Khemri, Humans, High Elves, Necros, Vamps, Underworld

Tier 3: Goblin, Halfling, Ogre

Schedule: Saturday 9-6.30 (3 games), Sunday 9:30-4ish

I've bought a ticket for the warmachine tournament they are holding at the same event. So I'll try to drop in and see how things are going as well as attatching myself to any pub/curry plans like a parasitic wasp

Due to a lack of a TO, Toy Soldier BB is on hiatus until 2013.

Ah well, guess I'll just have to make do with meeting new people.
