The Dutch Open will move city for one year only. The Korenbeurs, normally the home of the BUBBLE League, BUBBLE Tournament, Colleges of Magic and the Dutch Streetbowl Championship will now host the Dutch Open as well!
The venue is a 5 minute walk away from Utrecht CS, that in it's own turn is a mere 25 minutes away from Amsterdam and Schiphol. The tables are big enough for BB and there are two bars!
The rules will be the same as the previous editions.
LRB 6
TV 1100
One skill as per a normall skill roll after each round (or before all rounds except the first)
3 points for a win
1 point for a draw
0 for a loss
tiebreaker will be net TD + net Cas
The exact price will be up later but it won't exceed 15 euro's I think.
The website will be up soon and the korenbeurs will host the sunday night SUPERBOWL as well!

If that is the date, I'll have to discuss (read: beg) if I can go.
Would be my first DO, so I'd challenge everybody for the wooden spoon

I'll be there...

Where ever that may be.
Good to see it's happening anyway, just hope it can be done in A'dam.
Not that I mind Utrecht, but it somehow "fits".
Good luck Dave !

Looking forward to seeing the details as I was hoping to play next year.
Although I too was hoping for Amsterdam as it means I can ditch the wife with her friend who lives there (makes the negotiations so much easier

)

Well, we are looking for a venue in Amsterdam, but you might even find Utrecht is close enough for you to ditch your wife in Amsterdam (half an hour by train).

I'll look to be returning. Was planning a Major, but that is - for obvious reasons - no longer happening.
Would like it to be 'dam, as I feel like I know the place reasonably well now, but I've not been to Utrecht before...

Any luck finding somewhere?
Flights are a lot cheaper the earlier you book (£58 return from Leeds at the moment). I'd like to come, but for a good price (travel-wise)

we have several options at the moment and one of those is looking promising.
We'll go past there sometime next week

Utrecht Amsterdam by train is 30 minutes, so I'd think you can book a flight wherever the tourney will be played.
And... trains go all night...
http://journeyplanner.9292.nl/default.aspx for all public transport, and
http://www.ns.nl/cs/Satellite/travellers for trains only.
