Ok the manager of the store were we held this event has given the go ahead to hold another one next year. So i thought i'd get in quick and post.

It will be 11/12th September 2010.

Format will be similiar to my 2009 event(click here for the thread). This is mainly due to laziness on my part and that it seemed to work. It aint broke etc.

I'll post/update more details as and when i have them.

Thanks again to all who attended in '09. Without them '10 wouldn't be happening

Cost £10. Same for everyone.

6 games over 2 days.

Saturdaydoors open at 10 for registration.
first game to start by 11 at latest.

Sunday
doors open at 11, games to start asap.

2 hours per game. Max. On both days.

Full LRB6/CRP
All teams, including the 3 that didnt make it in to the CRP, allowed and full inducements at book cost. This includes random special play cards if you want

Its front loaded skill choice, 6 skills, all chosen before first game is known, each becoming available for use before each game.
game 1 = normal choice
game 2 = doubles choice
game 3 = normal choice
game 4 = normal choice
game 5 = doubles choice
game 6 = normal choice

Again not GW models are ok to use, just no parading them around the shop floor

Trophy for winner, and name engraved on static trophy (ie the one that stays in store)
various prizes inc;
Overall Winner,
Runner Up,
Most Violent,
Top Scorer,
Squishy,
and the Wooden Spoon!!
There may be more, all depends on numbers really.

Standard Swiss format.
Going for slightly different scoring format this year;
9 pts win
4 pts draw
1 pt for loss
up to 2 extra points for CAS caused by blocking
up to 2 extra points for TD's scored.
so potential for 13 pts per game.

Corrected a few details on the info post, inc price. The Man asked me to put it up to £10 to get more prizes

You get your ticket by either;
1. Going into your local GW store and getting them to call Poole GW to book your place. If done this way you should be able to pay at the counter there. Keep your receipt. Or you can pay on the day. Make sure the guys on the phone (ie the one's here in Poole) took your name and a contact number.
2. Calling the Poole GW store yourself. Tell them you wish to book a place at the Exiles BB event in September. Make sure they take your name and contact number. Pay on the day for this option.
3. If you see me at any tournament this summer (I'll be at a few. Can be recognized as I am usually wearing either a Hypnotoad shirt or a Exiles League shirt ) you can pay me then or pay on the day. Make sure I take your name and contact number.

Bring your mate as well we had 20 last year and would love to beat that number, so new blood the area is great

I found a coach that goes straight from Edinburgh to Poole so I'm all set for this.

You probably know my mate already since he plays WHFB a lot at GW Poole and has got in contact about joining the league.

Havn't reallt thought about it. Depends on how many people there are and how many are staying in the immediate area.

Err this might be me being an idiot but for some reason I thought that this was a progression tournament. Is it progression or front loaded?

no, good Q. i did cover this in the thread for the '09 event, which was linked in my first post, but i'll add again for convenice;

CeeTee won last year with a Dark Elf team, so dont discount them

It is a good skill system I have to say. Picking all 6 up front and you get them as you go is great fun
