Cool, Ruby too.
I was going to Pm a mod. Just seemed to keep forgetting
Ok, they seem to be taking a while to get the rulespack up, so instead I'll post it here:
Tournament Organiser: Duncan Hargreaves
Contact:
thechosengobbo@hotmail.com, or PM ‘thechosengobbo’ on the talkbloodbowl forums.
Rules version:
The full living rulebook (version 5.0) rules will be used. Available
here fpr free download.
Please note that the 2007 rules review will NOT be used.
Teams:
All teams in the rulebook, and the three experimental teams (Underworld, Chaos Pact, and Slann) will be permitted. Rules for the experimental teams can be found
here
Teams will have 1,100,000 gold crowns to spend in the beginning of the event. Any gold not spent will be saved in the treasury for later use.
Please have two copies of your roster available. One is to be left with the organiser prior to the first game.
Team Advancement:
This tournament will be run just like a league. With two days of ‘league’ games and Sunday left over for the playoffs. Therefore all the normal league rules from the rulebook, including star player points, match winnings, fan factor rolls, player death and inducement money, will be in effect.
Any winnings, and player improvement rolls, must be rolled after your game, and any skill improvements to be decided BEFORE your next game is announced.
Inducements:
All inducements in the rulebook will be permitted, including the optional card inducements (decks of cards for inducements will be available from the organiser on the day).
Players Should Bring:
Please note that all players should bring along their own pitches, dugouts, block dice, and templates along with their teams.
PLAYERS MUST BE WILLING TO SHARE THEIR DICE IF THEIR OPPONENT REQUESTS IT
Tournament Points:
Points are awarded as follows:
3 points for a win
1 point for a draw
0 points for a loss
Touchdowns and casualty points will be recorded, and used as a tie breaker if some teams are on level points.
Match Format:
Friday:
12PM registration. Coaches are to find the tournament area, and sign up before their first game begins. One copy of the team roster is to be left with the organiser upon registration.
2PM game 1
4PM half hour break
4.30PM game 2
6.30PM finish for the day
Saturday:
9AM game 3
11PM half hour break
11.30PM game 4
1.30PM lunch
2.30PM game 5
4.30PM half hour break
5PM playoff game 1
Sunday:
10AM playoff game 2
12PM lunch, and shopping frenzy
1.30PM playoff finals
For those who are still wanting blood bowl after 3.30, there will be variant games such as snotbowl on offer for some crazy fun up until the prize giving.
The league will be structured so that everyone has a game during all playoff times to establish full rankings.
All ‘league’ matchups are to be decided by the organiser, and will use the Swiss system. Pairings will be modified to avoid coaches playing the same opponent twice (except during the playoff rounds).
Yes it's a strange structure for the timetable, but I have no real choice (ony have 3.5 hours on Sunday afternoon to play).
