ARBBL Open 2009 - Andover, Hants, UK - 7th/8th March 2009

Vampires & Merchants in Andover is pleased to confirm that the ARBBL Open will be running again on the 7th/8th March 2009.

6 rounds of Swiss, TV115, 6 skills (1 per game) chosen before the first game. All NAF.

Rules will be posted soon (as soon as I can amend the rulespack!) and posted for download, but if you follow this link you can download the rules fro the ARBBL 2008 2nd Coming tournament, which will make up about 99% of the rules for the 2009 event.

There will be a free limited edition fig for all attendees, and depending on numbers, a number of prizes (and yes, the wooden spoons will be back).

Cost is £15 NAF (£18 for non-NAF, but sign-ups on the day will only pay the NAF cost).

And yes, Slann, Chaos Pact and Underworld will all be allowed.

Hope to see the regulars return, and some new faces.

Stunty Cup legal Lizardmen and Underworld teams (which means Skinks/Kroxigor or Underworld Goblins/Troll only) may take 1 Stunty/Big Guy star from their respective lists.

I really enjoyed the 2nd Coming Tourney and will make every endeavour to be at this one.

One thing that bothers me.

The Rules Pack for the ARBBL 2nd coming will make up 99% of the rules.

What cunning plan do you have for the other 1% then Darkson?

As long as the 1% rules change isn't no Matt While, then i should be there.

Will possibly look to stay in Andover (:o) on the saturday night to enjoy another fine curry.

Apart from banning CHaos Dwarfs that don't fail GFIs all game?

The scoring will change slightly, so that the gap between a win and a lose isn't quite as big. Skills etc will stay exactly the same though.

Don't use a wierd ass scoring system...

3pt win/1pt draw/0pt loss....that I understand.

None of this 10pts for a win +1 if you middle name begins with a "G" times the number of letters in your mother's maiden name divided by the days we have had rain in September....

Regardless, I hope to be there with some of the boys.

Yeah - I tried to get the weekend before this, so there would be a fortnight between, but it was already booked. I could have had the DB weekend though.

Shout at Darkson until he responds. Then he may just give you tickets. Alternatively tell him that everyone in Andover smells of fish.

Should be plenty of room as the hall is large and we haven't half filled it yet....probably even more room now that Darkson is going to ban me.

If you ever want a few more friendly BB games, give us a shout. I'm based in Southampton and there are a few of us here too.

Sorry for the lack of response - I've been suffering from a bad cold/flu since the Xmas/New year gap, and, apart from work (as I need to be paid), I've not had the energy to do anything once I get home. Final rulespack will be posted this week.

@Blood Bowl Nut - contact details will be in the rulespack, and no problem on getting tickets - the hall can easily accomdate 40 coaches (though not so sure on the kettle though!

).
